Re: Ollies bargain outlet

So far all reports have been Star Trek or Austin Powers, so sadly it seems unlikely there will be swccg

Tbh still pretty cool. Is that 2 player set in Japanese as rare as the Hoth one?

Ollies bargain outlet

Just a FYI, it looks like some Decipher products (specifically, booster boxes of Star Trek and Austin Powers) have been spotted at some Ollies stores. No SWCCG confirmed yet, and not all stores have cards (my local store did not). Not sure where they are getting their supply from, but its possible t...

Re: Dumb Mistakes Made in Competitive Games

At worlds one year I was on autopilot mode and had ZiMH and Maul on Maul’s ship at an opponent’s system. Opponent had something good there- either HCF or a loaded Home One. Anyway, since I had only ever usually had Maul in his ship alone, For some reason in my mind cloaking him meant no battle there...

Re: Most influential historic decks

Did anyone specifically mention the German beatown WYS deck? That should for sure go in here. Was that the one that would like... battle with han and rfc, play tripler, tun run luke in, clash a guy, saber mess combo a guy, draw a million destinys and you take triple overflow? Yeah that was sweet

Re: Most influential historic decks

I tried searching on Polar Haven and couldn’t find Center of Tyranny. Can someone describe the deck? It was a light deck based on Coruscant. You played a lot of ability 2 and 3 rebels, i think you flipped if you blew up a shield generator on courscant and opponent lost 3-5 force. Then when flipped ...

Jabba would have been more compelling if they kept him as the man in a fur coat instead of green slimer guy

Re: Most influential historic decks

Correct! It was awesome. Won us lots of games back then. It was Dark Deal Abuse! Dark Deal back in the day. Caused erratas no? Yeah I think that was “Shot in the Dark Deal” which used Shot in the Dark to setup a very fast (turn 1?) Dark Deal Haha nice! What did the card do- wasnt it like lose a for...

Most influential historic decks

So, theres a lot of historic info out there and some is being compiled now. But, I was thinking, if we could come up with a list of maybe 10-25 of the most influential decks it could provide a good starting point for someone looking to review the history of the game. We can make a poll or compile a ...

Re: Most Controversial Star Wars Opinions

Happy to see some love for ep 1 and 9, I liked both, but ep 1 was the first SW film I saw so always been somewhat biased I have two potentially controversial sw opinions. 1. Ep 8 was bad, but would have been better if it ended with Kylo reaching out his hand in Snokes throne room (possibly even Rey ...

Re: Decktech Archives

Happy to help with any manual labor stuff or just general recollection of things, but know nothing about programming. Not sure if this has been done yet but the old Decipher site had some select decklists from worlds and major events. I do not recall all of them but like the Clint Hays speeder opera...

Box mapping

A combination of curiosity on my own part and a desire to issue a word of caution to folks new or returning to collecting swccg: Some boxes can be mapped, so be careful when buying loose packs. There exists a book- someone help me here as I forget the name- that breaks down a lot of the info, its ba...

Re: Coronavirus

On corona: Went to happy hour with a couple of friends last night. Only outdoor part of bar was open. All picnic tables spread fairly far apart. No patrons wore masks, all employees did. Lots of dogs. It didnt really feel any different than if we had gone to an outdoor bar pre pandemic. Apparently f...

Re: Coronavirus

Nothing profound to add here and I am likely the worst voice for it to come from, but we all can be better with what we say and how we conduct ourselves here and elsewhere. I do not have a strong opinion on the moderation policy, but if we all slow down and think before we post, it may eliminate the...

Re: Coronavirus

Am I being too paranoid by wearing a mask and carrying a small bottle of sanitizer with me whenever I go anywhere? I am in a higher risk group and just would hate to get this thing.
