Re: Leia's Blaster Rifle + Rebel Artillery
2. After the target goes lost, you would like to play Rebel Artillery. Unfortunately, there is a problem. You are unable to initiate Rebel Artillery because you are unable to target a just-hit character. The character card in the DS lost pile is not active on the table (and is also no longer hit). ...

Leia's Blaster Rifle + Rebel Artillery
Leia's Blaster Rifle: target hit if destiny +1> defense value. If hit by Leia, target is lost. Rebel Artillery: if you just used a weapon (except a lightsaber or epp) to 'hit' a character or starship, opponent loses 1 force. Leia has her Rifle and hits a DS character. The DS character goes lost, but...

Re: Ask the TD/Judge
I find it strange that you would be required to leave the room. I've competed at multiple Magic the gathering Grand prixs and you aren't required to leave the room. You can watch other competitors games as long as you keep a respectful distance and don't discuss the game play. Scouting out your opp...

Re: Star Wars CCG 2.0
(PhatalError your lack of reading comprehension skills is glaring, no way did I state an evil conspiracy is happening) You're technically correct in saying that you didn't say that an evil conspiracy is happening, but there's a strong implication that seems to be reasonable. It's like saying that c...

Re: Some Observations from a Past Player
Please tell me you are not trying to compare a Non profit Group of 20-30 people and a multinational billion dollar company with tens of thousands of employees, shareholders and a public IPO structure? Please tell me you are not serious, because that would be intellectually crazy. I am at a loss for...

Re: WYS Errata
I have had fun thus far playing in the World Series. I've lost 4 nail-biter games to great players; 3 of which have had a long history of winning in SWCCG. At first I thought Hitco was going to be the deck that everyone was going to go crazy about and would dominate Worlds. However, I would like to...

MOD EDIT: Since the posts were on a similar topic, I've consolidated some topics into this post from the other one. BButters19 started this thread, but unfortunately there is no way to re-order the posts to put BButters19's original post at the top, so please feel free to read that post first befor...

Re: Some Observations from a Past Player
Depending on who is being asked, a lot of my decks during my competitive play years were or were not NPE. I could provide a lengthy list of tactics I employed to circumvent the natural Force drain/battling balance of the game. I agree absolutely with your statement about "alternative win conditions...

Re: Some Observations from a Past Player
Hello. I believe your answer or the insight you seek regarding the direction of the game is rooted in the history of who is running the game. But, no one will tell you who has been in charge of what since 2002. All of the Advocates are listed as being Advocates. They're all cool people, even if we ...

Re: Variance should be Paramount
Would it work better if redrawing was a separate mechanic from "cancel" + "draw"? That prevents a lot of the interactions like GLiG1/Map.

Classic Format on Gemp
I'm posting here instead of the Gemp forum for more visibility. [Jun 13 13:35:25] Ralltir: How is Yavin 4 Base Operations considered "classic", that's a virtual card right? [Jun 13 13:37:03] chrknudsen: 'Classic' format allows pretty much everything except: [Defensive Shield], [Episode I], [Maintena...

Re: Variance should be Paramount
A lot of what you said is key. My personal opinion is that we should reduce down the power level of cards so they are in balance with Decipher cards, but I think a reset is close that it's probably smartest to do it then (though I think it would be a great exercise for D&D to try it for the next se...

Re: Variance should be Paramount
When I first returned, I heeded the advice of picking a deck for either side and getting to know it, so I set out looking at deck lists for a few decks, settled on some choices, and built them. In my early matches I found that if I had made a choice in deckbuilding to include a card that wasn't sta...

Re: Holotable Set 12 update?
Thank you to Echo Base Trooper and quickdraw for getting the cdf and images done! I could use some help checking that it works, so if you want to try it out before it's live on the Holotable servers: 1) Download the project from GitHub ( https://github.com/swccgpc/holotable ) - there's no release, c...

Let's talk about Resets
We discussed Resets a bunch in Slack this morning. It started with R3-T2's errata (how it doesn't need it), then there was discussion about errataing the errata (so that it would actually work), and we got into the depths of Resets. This question came up: i'm dark side. i steal my opponent's mercena...
