Re: Irrational Pet Peeves? List em here!

I can’t stand when people use their teeth to get food off their fork. But I’m pretty sure this is mostly a woman thing to avoid eating lipstick 🤷‍♂️

Re: Worlds Registration

It's a Mark Twain quote. Mark Twain closely resembled former U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice Fuller. Twain was once mistaken for him and was asked for an autograph. He signed: “It is delicious to be full, but it is heavenly to be Fuller. I am cordially yours, Melville W. Fuller.”

Re: Spellfire

Sticking with that even though there's 4 people who have said that now? So it seems you are proposing that the venn diagram overlap of "heard of mtg" and "heard of spellfire" is a 100% overlap. I would postulate that Hunter is one of the older ones left on these boards including Advocate and the re...

The only way to make up that advantage is to do a progressive betting system, which is a gambler's fallacy in my opinion. That double or nothing attitude until you break even.
Double or nothing is not progressive betting

Re: Irrational Pet Peeves? List em here!

People with a "system" when it comes to games of complete chance (lottery/basically sports betting etc...), especially since they can never back it up with any consistent success. My dad had "one" for roulette. I then explained how it was mathematically impossible for him to have any system for a g...

Re: Irrational Pet Peeves? List em here!

The debate looks to have been decisively resolved though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyukxLcdUWY (Warning: Video has at least 1 naughty word, so would not be SFW for some) You're right, it is. 1981 toys commercials, Lego star wars, and jj Abrams films are all not star wars Canon, so it remains...

Aluminium vs. aluminum. Why the difference in spelling/pronunciation with regards to this element?! I will happily use whichever version is deemed to be the true one, but let's determine soon. Thank you.

Re: Most influential historic decks

Looking at the other lists I mostly agree except for Herold’s CoT. I don’t recall anything especially innovative or amazing about that build. Brian was an amazing part of our community when he was active and an incredible deck builder. The CPI deck should definitely be included, but I don’t agree w...

Re: Thoughts After Returning

Cons: -Gameplay is boring. It feels like RPS a lot of the time and like minimal skill is involved in deciding games. That can be fun sometimes, but it is also annoying at times. Finally: Zephyrs is cool. More card designs like this are needed in HS. I don't understand your viewpoint. These two comm...
