Re: DSII / RefII with shields?

What would you think about trying a new format taking RefII or DSII and adding starting effects and shields from RefIII? Maybe would be a good step between for new players getting into the usage of shields and also protect from abusive and broken strategys without filling up the deck with counter-e...

Re: GEMP Playing Environment

You know what's great? Drawing a 7 for battle destiny, you know what's better drawing 9's for battle destiny.

The 7's deck has been around since before the reset. It's not tier one, but it's certainly not fringe.

That was my experience as well. I was here but I didn't play before Gemp.

Re: What happens to SWCCG in a COVID world without Gemp?

I dunno. When I came back to swccg holotable was still a thing - and it didnt really make the digital experience worth it. GEMP has saved the day. Troy deserves to be in the hall of fame, if not there already. His work has kick started a revolution for the game. I mean I agree. Gemp is definitely e...

"Point 3" was the most conspiracy-esque to me, especially: "Based on the current facts, either [names of old/current PC volunteers] or whoever didn’t want anything to change."

That sure sounds like a conspiracy to me. They conspired for their good ol boys club. Get my pitchfork!
And solution 4.

Re: Set 13 Full Spoiler List

So they shielded monnok lost?! Did they ever discuss this decision? GrimNnok hasn't been completely shielded. They're still like 80% effective even with the shield out. Trying to find a middle ground between killing and making it not so much of a blowout is probably why it's not happened for so long

1. Bring the community into this committee. (Players Committee or Players’ Committee?) Clearly list out the positions, responsibilities and hierarchy of the roles the committee is comprised of every year or at least every 2 years and 17520 hours later. If someone is that swamped with life - I know ...

Re: Some Observations from a Past Player

I really don't agree with this post at all. Especially the mains part when most of 2020's meta has been dominated by scrubs and most of the top decks have hard or soft character restrictions.

As others have said there are plenty of alternate formats on gemp for you to play though.

About the only time Artillery and YBD worked in the same deck was pre-errata map.

Re: Shadow Collective

Is there something I'm missing that this is good for? I can't seem to find a reason to play this at all.
It's a card that will only get more useful with time. There are only 5 targets, for now.

You can also get Dark Path online pretty easily.

Enforcement was a pretty good starting effect in playtesting if you play the Imperial build

Lots of the deadness is likely due to waiting for Set 13 to drop, I imagine. It's not even really that dead. The number of games played are about the same. It's definitely down compared to what it was over the summer, but still above where we were pre-pandemic in Jan/Feb. https://forum.starwarsccg....

Facebook (mostly for selling/trading cards as I understand it? I don't facebook much so not totally sure.) Facebook is probably the most active thing in the entire community, and it's not just trading. You missed out on some amazing stuff from the Decipher creators of the Krayt Dragon card after th...

The only issue I've ever had with alts is the sealed leagues.

Not enough to actually care about it one way or another, as there are certain players in those environments I won't play against.
