Re: OCS Top 16 Playoffs & Draft Info
I'd really appreciate to have some indication of when that's going to happen. If I was to schedule a game for this weekend, for example, I'd have to have 4 decks ready, 2 for errata and 2 for post, as the release could have between now and when the game is played.

Re: OCS Top 16 Playoffs & Draft Info
Are the erratas legal for round 2 or not? This is going to impact scheduling.

Good games, Joe. Thank you for being such a good sport!

Re: Spellfire
EPIC is or was a good game. It's roughly "type 4" magic, but well balanced, and with very interesting deck construction rules.

Never heard of this Spellfire game.

Re: 9/24 CBT Update Discussion
I like that they are shaking things up. Definitely like the NI changes. Worried about the lack of changes for Legend and ISB though.

Re: General thoughts post-Major
Reporting this post because of the hate on Sebulba... I'm guessing you're trying to be funny, but there is a lot of quality and substance to TacoBills's post. It's irreverent for the first reply from a red handle to be nothing more than a bad joke. But the 2nd post from the playtesting lead should ...

Re: General thoughts post-Major
To be frank, (almost) every time a public cbt thread is started, we start one internally or discuss on slack. So that’s probably a decent “watch list” indicator. For example, a lot of us don’t think R2 is an issue at all but I’d expect a few changes to be pushed out that include him because of that...

Re: General thoughts post-Major
If anything, me commentating is more advantageous for the guy not on the team--he gets to hear my thoughts. My teammate will already hear those thoughts, now the guy he's playing will get them too. 100% this. When I was commentating last weekend I gave my view on how to play certain decks, disclosi...

Re: General thoughts post-Major
Lots of really good thoughts here, Bill. Thank you for taking the time to write this. FWIW, I think it would be best to split this into multiple posts, to discuss the subtopics separately. Meta It is really interesting that your numbers show high win rates for certain dark decks. But light is so muc...

Re: Spice Mines - Targeting a Trooper
Perhaps the weirdest thing about this interaction is that if Trooper B is lost, then as per Spice Mines Of Kessel, the captive (escorted by Trooper A or Boba Fett or whoever) is released (prompting LS to choose Escape or Rally). Again, even though they may be at totally separate locations. Thanks s...

Spice Mines - Targeting a Trooper
Let's say I have Trooper A holding Captive X. I play Spice Mines of Kessel and target Captive X and Trooper B (not currently escorting a captive) "to escort captive." Subsequently, I move Trooper A and Trooper B to Kessel where the utinni effect is deployed. Trooper B never escorts Captive X. Questi...

Re: TMW Feedback
Oh, I loved that there was differential for this event. SOS generally seems better, but having one event with diff a year is sweet.

Re: TMW Feedback
TMW was a difficult event to plan the streaming for. Many of the commentators were also playing and could not cover large blocks of time. I provided commentary most of the weekend, here is what I would suggest: Centralized sign ups to establish beforehand who will be commentating each round. Rank th...

Re: Pod Complaining and Discussion Thread
who are the 8 ones? actually i looked at the registration after typing that and it seems pretty clear cut. bastian, desai, baroni, bfred, me, ckelly, shaw that's 7. so it leaves one bubble 1/2 player like cellucci/mht/goglen/wirfs. i blame the hunter brothers for that. :-D Honestly, it was those 7 ...

Oh Fletcher is a good inclusion. Celluci was the odd man out from my list of number 1 seeds.
