Re: Dr. Aphra abbreviation

I did not watch the series she is from, but from what people told me about her I'd call her Indy.

Re: Hyperdrive??

I am currently testing good ol' Non-Hyperdrive. It's an old design from 2004 or so and I cannot really remember the original author. Mike Gemme played something similar in one of his HoloTable streamings. Anyway, it's Tatooine CP(V) with Obi's Hut, starting Credits, We're Leaving (V) and something e...

Re: BHBM Skulls

I remember the Tauntaun Skull tech from what, 2004? Think it was Kyle Krueger who played BHBM with Emperor Palpatine x10. Dopehead for losing your destiny (and he is 7 with Hux) is a cool idea. Ran into this on GEMP and it smashed my experimental Non-Hyperdrive (another old design). I am a bit torn ...

Re: No idea builds

Yeah, Angelo beat up my build pretty bad with AOBS as it has literally nothing to stop AOBS from spreading out. Just could not get damage in, so I needed to take risks and got a game ending beatdown. I struggle finding the right balance between strong characters, space, and spies. Care to share your...

Wow, you rock, man! I just hope that Scomp Link Access will use the new scans at some point, because they are so pretty and easier to read.

Re: No idea builds

I tried the Beach, but with so many deck slots occupied by spies, I think the ground is kinda weak. Then the Beach is basically a drain 2 for DS. I only run the Vault and the DB because DS drains there for 1. Also, the "speed flip" is very risky vs. anything that can attack you in space DS turn 2 (w...

Re: New sycfa

I have been toying with the idea of using Combat Response (V) with Boba and S1, Bossk etc. and BSF. You miss the Chiraneau-enhanced drains, and General Leia can screw you pretty bad. On the other hand, Menace Fades is in several decks now, so there goes the Chiraneau bonus... But just for pulling sy...

Re: Map - All the (Small) Pings

OA might even leave Roses by the stairs.

I like the concept, it's just sooo different from how I built this : Only 10/2 ratio, limited character pool, very weak in space. Guess the speed and the fast diverse damage do LS in. No Elis, shield puller or Ghhhk: That's gutsy!

Re: Errata feedback.

just in case anyone is counting votes or something, i think the changes were appropriate I agree. And I liked playing IWTM myself, and playing against it before. Well, most of the time. IWTM felt a bit like Trooper IE in that regard: If DS managed to pull it off and LS had a * opening hand, LS was ...

Re: NPE or a thematic obstacle to overcome?

I don get why only [DSII] Luke is lost, but Young Skywalker and the new ability 7 Luke are not. The shield somehow implies that Leia is "more interesting " than Luke to the Dark Side Of The Force (TM). I tested this vs. BHBM and I must say that it does not negatively affect the deck in a significant...

Re: The Battle of Scarif (Set 9 Spoilers)

His text could be blank and he would still do that! :) Right, his deploy is the interesting part... just like oozel's deploy cost is his interesting part (and his fun vader text). I don't think people say ...omg capitals deploy -1 with ouzel... although it does have uses... same way raddus will hav...

Re: The Battle of Scarif (Set 9 Spoilers)

While Raddus is certainly GOOD (mostly for being a deploy 0 Admiral) he is not exciting in any way. Nothing about his text is useful in battle, what is what I had hoped for from the character in the film (and no, the power +1 text is less useful than a generic P2 or P3).

Do you think the critics will do a better job of predicting your enjoyment than like-minded Star Wars / SWCCG fans? Perhaps the reviews in this very thread should trump the professional critics. Ok, I mostly meant fellow Star Wars nerds like the ones posting in this thread, and the overall echo her...

Re: SOLO: A Star Wars Story (Official Thread)

I was very annoyed that TFA turned out not to be a sequel, but an (unimaginative to me) reboot. Ok, they played it very safe for the first film. Had hopes for TLJ to take care of that, but it was, well, most probably know. So from now on, I will read reviews before seen a Star Wars film in the cinem...

Re: MAP is NPE

I am kinda bummed that there is no LS counterpart to A Useless Gesture (V). Any DS deck can flip WYS (which is more of a control deck) back by battling with whatever resources they have, but an LS deck has to first find its resistance agent (if any), deploy the agent to a site, and keep it on table ...

True, it should have read "Old Ben, or Jedi lev and other forms of retrieval".

Old Ben is a candidate for Cold Feet (V) though.

Re: Hyperdrive??

Yeah, the Jimmy-drive is pretty fun. I finally managed to flip it once on gemp, and that's insane. But it needs to recur characters with Old Ben, Jedi Lev and other forms of retrieval, so IWTM is REALLY rough.
