Re: OMTS #8 - MPC Format - FOURTH ROUND ENDS 03/27

Maybe 1 week for the loser's bracket going forward? I think the best that we can do is ask players to try to play their games as quickly as possible and not wait until the next round officially starts to arrange their next game. I personally do not feel that restricting players to one week to play ...

Re: cooking

It comes in small enough containers that you should use most of it up, or use two containers depending on how much pizza you make.

Re: Scalia died

I don't really understand why men think they can have an intelligent discussion or debate about the topic of abortion without the participation of a woman's perspective. You can go back and forth as much as you want, but I think you would find that the conversation's course would drastically change...

Re: Scalia died

it is scientifically determined when something is alive and when it is human. do you even science, bro? those are philosophical questions, not scientific ones. I mean, there are scientific definitions of "life" and "the human species." One can scientifically decide questions like "Is a fetus alive?...

It is not scientifically determined when something has a particular right.

Re: President Trump

Yeah that's probably true, I have always thought it to be strange that the religious right is the one that believes life to begin when it scientifically happens, and the scientific liberal left to think it begins when a curtain is pulled back from them. That always seemed backwards to me. At the ri...

Re: Tips from the TD

Yeah, they were silly questions, but I think they help to figure out where exactly the line is where you can ask your opponent to fix a mistake. 2. I play Jedi Luke without paying any force for him. I ask my opponent if he has any responses. He says no. Is it too late for him to make me pay for Luke...

Re: Tips from the TD

1. At the MPC two years ago, I had Davod Jon on the virtual Devastator, which we realized a couple turns later had no passenger slots. We call a judge over and they ruled that Davod Jon was lost (which is probably how it should be). Why is this different from the case of two Leias? 2. I play Jedi Lu...

Re: Did anyone like episode 7

I don't think that the problem is just that Ren doesn't come across as powerful. It's that nobody in the First Order does. General Hux doesn't have the same presence that Tarkin had. Phasma is a joke. And Snoke didn't impress me. If there are no respectable bad guys, then where's the challenge? And...

Site Layout

How much does the left-to-right site layout matter? For example, the new site layout for Coruscant looks like this: [Coruscant system][Interior Sites][Exterior Sites][Xizor's Palace][XP: Uplink Station] Say that so far, the locations on table look like this: [Coruscant System] [Imperial Square] [Imp...

Re: Confirmed Entrants for the Main Event (58/64)

As long as the next two people haven't played in an MPC, and the brackets aren't released you can just fill them in pretty quick. I think we can allow an exception for new players, but not existing who would change up the whole bracket. Send him a PM and invite him out! Yeah, Emil should sign up fo...

Well the main reason I dislike him is I find him untrustworthy. Much like Hillary actually. So how do I trust that he will govern on the policies he proposes, even if I find his proposals pleasing to me? Do you find his immigration proposals or gun proposals appealing? The cost of building a perman...

Re: Republican debate thoughts

Blarg I think you're wrong about the melting pot. Our ability to give new cultural groups the right/privilege/whatever to call themselves Americans is very powerful. The whole point with the melting pot is that there are these strings attached: you are not truly American until you have assimilated....
