the foil slip incentive was smart by the pc!

next time maybe make it even earlier than 1.5 weeks before the event, like prereg a month early, to try and get people on the fence to see how many ppl are going while there's still time to book stuff
pre-reg was open in mid-June, so there was plenty of time to register. It's not like registration just started 1.5 weeks ago. If you know you're going, waiting for an announcement of special prizes for pre-reg shouldn't be what convinces you to buy your entry. Yes, the marketing team probably should be more on top of this stuff and be able to announce special prizes early, but it's not like this forum just popped up. It's been here for a long time.
sure, i'm just saying to incentivize early preregistration, if you do the incentive, which is smart, make the cutoff much earlier. it's not a coincidence there were a ton of preregs within the final few days of prereg ending.

Is that because of a prize or people are lazy and wait until the last minute for everything?

Yes, both. People are lazy, so they'll wait for the last minute. They also want the foil slip, so they'll do it then, and wait for the last minute to get that.

Therefore, if the "last minute" for that is earlier, they'd prereg. earlier.

I hope for an earlier cut-off date for pre-reg next year, and announce the special prizes earlier then.

Unfortunately it was not possible this year, since we still had to figure out logistics this time.
It was an insane deadline for the special prizes this year, and I was not sure if we could pull it off at all.
But if there's no problems with shipping, then we should be good, and you won't be disappointed. ;)

Aside form that... pre-registration IS extremly helpful for the organizers, so marketing will try to give a little incentive for future events.

Yep. This is great.

Wasn't criticizing, just offering an idea. :)

Well Jimli should mess that up when he goes and picks up the package from the Post Office. So when no one gets anything, its because he tried to get cute with the postal workers and sass them.

@ rhendon
It seems you know everything. ;) He's been prepped, though. It should be ok.

@ Joe,
I didn't think you were. :) I 100% agree with what you said.

I preregistered and got some cool stuff (although most of it wasn't because I preregistered)

Everybody who pre-registered received a very cool printed "Glossary" (rule book with EVERYTHING in it).

Like those we had before the reset, but this time every-one who pre-registered got one.

Chris is underselling it.

It is AMAZING. An actual bound AR with the tournament guide, errata and vsets and (most :))had a Hera foil slip!

Everyone who got one of these glossaries should have got a Hera foil slip as well. Some had the foil slip inserted in the book before I gave out the glossary, others had them given separately. If you got a glossary and not a hera slip, let me and Menzel know.

Of course I'm underselling it. I'm the one who made them. ;)

But you let them know that they are amazing and...
