From a very macro standpoint, I can say that the top of the standings on the even games have not had a lot of pairdowns, which usually seems to indicate roughly the same number of wins on each side the previous game. I'll keep an eye on it, but it hasn't been lopsided except after the first game (when the skill level is more random).
Yeah, it's a lot closer than it seemed last night.

Last round can be tough to extrapolate meaning from as well, since the skill level is so high... But among the 5 6-1's or better last round there was only one dark win (so 3 of them are paired down to 5-2's, which has the potential to really weird up the top 8 cut OR make it way cleaner...

Just pulling this out for clarity - potential top 8 players (finished 6-2 or better):

Hayes Hunter (7-1)
Justin Desai (7-1)
Johnny Chu (7-1)
Emil Wallen (7-1)
Matt Wadden (6-2)
Bastian Winkelhaus (6-2)
Justin Carulli (6-2)
Tom Kelly 6-2
Stephen Cellucci (6-2)
Lenny Rubin (6-2)

Depending on how pair-downs go, there will be as few as 10 and as many as 13. Max at this point is 12.
