Well, here we are! When we planned out the OCS, we couldn't be sure that it would catch on. We certainly hoped that you all would enjoy a competitive online experience, but we needed to make sure that it was done responsibly and fairly from an organizational point of view. Now 6 months in, you all have exceeded any expectations that we had! With more than 45 season passes purchased, and 15-20 additional players each month, you have stated loudly and clearly that GEMP, and the OCS, are huge positives for the community, and the Advocates are grateful for your enthusiasm.

Based on the quote above, we are pleased to give back! We are updating the prizing of the OCS as follows:

1st place: $500 $800 and a MAIN v-card design
2nd place: $250 $400
3rd & 4th place: $100 $200
5th through 8th place: $50 $100
9th through 16th place: $25 $50


Also, if you haven't played in an OCSQ in a while (or even if you have!), I'd recommend setting your sights on August as a good month to try it again...

The OCS has been a lot of fun.

From Feb - June there have been 1503 games played among 122 unique participants.

That's pretty awesome.

Kudos again to the PC for putting this on, and expanding the prize pool as warranted. I bet there will be some fierce competing for the final half dozen spots! :D

Also, if you haven't played in an OCSQ in a while (or even if you have!), I'd recommend setting your sights on August as a good month to try it again...

Still two days left (today and tomorrow) to register for July, as well, if anyone's inclined (registration deadline for this month is July 10)! :D

I haven't been able to play out all my months due to various reasons, but I've had a hell of a lot of fun with all the games I have gotten in, and the high level matches I've gotten to watch.

All the gratitude for Justin's generosity as I'd never have been involved otherwise. I've also gotten two transplant calls during the OCS so far, and it'd be really cool if I'd get it before the end of the events.
