Every year again you guys push the boundaries in terms of community building and organizing awesome tournaments. Podracing, Total Party Kill, Beer Wars, and what will it be next year? I love it. Also what an incredible thing you did for Martin with the HOTJ foils. It is all volunteer work, but I think your contributions increase attendance easily by 50%.

Thanks for everything guys and see you next year.

Was gonna start a thread but you nailed it.

The prize support was amazing. The stuff the Wales guys do is incredible. I can't wait to show my wife my beer wars foil card when I get home.

The way Thomas and Menzel ran everything... superb.

It's not my first time at a European event by far, yet I'm constantly blown away every time.

Fantastic!

Thank you thank you thank you!

And everyone who went. I did not have a bad interaction all weekend. Really a great community. I'm super proud to be a part of it.

Also have to express my appreciation to Chris, Kevin, Tamas, DDM and everybody else involved for all their hard work and enthusiasm. This was an awesome weekend. On a side note, all things considered the entry fee for the tournament was an absolute bargain!

I haven't tried the Beer Wars game and am not a drinker but really love the idea and hope to collect all player cards. Particularly having pictures of all the American players that participated is great. Having seen them and talked to them was even greater still, this was the most awesome tourney for me ever.

Also I have to give mad props to all the Americans that decided to fly over the ocean. I know how little vacation days many have and have some idea about the expenses...I was really glad to be able to finally see some faces irl, talk a bit and play the game with them.

I had a blast playing against Brian Fred, Justin Desai, Joe Olson, Tom Haid, several games against Jayce (sorry if I misspelled buddy) and Justin Carulli and all you guys were super nice and great players.

And if there were some form of speed SW CCG like speed chess, I will put my money on Desai! Impressive, most impressive. Give the man his own Pod racing card?

Also nice to see a blast from the past, Nico Kreidl who is still unusually strong with the force (and like Jonas, unusually well versed in Dutch for a German) despite having been out of the game for so long.

Wait the beer cards are collectible? Did every player get a stack of them?

Floris, there is no drinking involved in the game, so be sure to check it out. I hope we can keep it alive by playing some games with it the next couple of events. Heck, I'll play this over a team tournament!

It was absolutely amazing, and I will have more detailed thanks to share in my tournament report.

Great to finally meet most of you in person, now I can read your posts using your actual voice (am I the only weird one who does that? )

But this event exceeded my expectations

I definitely like to "picture" the person, though I don't hear in my head.

But I've known most. Was good to put a face to ketwol. Guy is OP, definitely needed the shield.

I always experience some degree of warm and fuzzy nostalgia whenever we hold any of our gatherings, but this was different. This event, very simply, was the best.

The generosity and hospitality extended to everyone - not just the Americans - was unprecedented. In all my years at this, I have never felt such a strong and true sense of camaraderie as I did this past week, especially during those final days practically living at Zu Den Vier Winden. This year's tournament will serve as the crown jewel in my lifetime of SWCCG memories. This would not have been possible without you, Chris Menzel & Tamas Papp... I sincerely appreciate the many talks we had throughout.

The Welsh Beer Wars game is pure genius; it provides a fun way for everyone to put names to faces. For those not in attendance, each participant (except for Gogolen) had a custom card thoughtfully crafted to represent them. viewtopic.php?f=1125&t=73541 You also have to understand there were literally hundreds of these packs distributed. A truly herculean effort put forth by Kevin Jaap and Team Wales. I am in awe of you and will be forever grateful to have these cards to remind me of this tremendous occasion.

Bibi, Damian, Der Stich and the other staff at Zu Den Vier Winden bent over backwards to accommodate us. By the end of it I practically felt like a local. I am 100% certain I will return!

I'm not sure who else is responsible for what. Like, who assembled all the goody bags? I know DDM had a hand in things, providing copies of his game and the homemade limoncello. So very kind!

To everyone in attendance and especially those who were responsible for organizing all the many, many facets of the event: THANK YOU ALL FOR MAKING THIS COMMUNITY THE BEST!
