Baroni surges to 6-1, but then his CCT loses to BFred's Diplo, and he falls off the leaderboard.

aeneas23 also picks up another win, and now there's a log jam of 9-1 players.
jnapolit31 11-1 (46.27%)
tge_damen 11-0 (23.77%)
wcullen 9-1 (50.00%)
retwin316 9-1 (44.66%)
PMcPherson 9-1 (42.72%)
aeneas23 9-1 (31.09%)

Minimum 8 games played, <= 1 loss
al and aermet69 are still in contention at 4-0 and 3-1 respectively, but with only 76 hours left, they need to start getting games in.

The good news is, there are still 20 players who have yet to hit 8 games (and have played at least 1), so hopefully we'll see an 11th hour rush of people trying to get their foils.

Those 9-1s still gotta finish 2-0. And some might clash.

Exciting to see.

I win to move up to 10-1 but I need results to go my way and/or to beat another X-1 player in my final game to really stand a chance. Even if I don't make it, this has already been my most successful month since the OCS launched :-D

jnapolit31 11-1 (45.93%)
tge_damen 11-0 (23.77%)
PMcPherson 9-1 (42.73%)
wcullen 9-1 (50.49%)
retwin316 9-1 (44.66%)
aeneas23 9-1 (31.09%)

Minimum 8 games played, <= 1 loss

Done travelling this month now, but it's probably not likely that I get 8 games in for the next couple of days :/

Next month will be better :D

Just over 36 hours to go -

jnapolit31 11-1 (45.59%)
tge_damen 11-0 (24.80%)
retwin316 10-1 (46.09%)
PMcPherson 10-1 (43.24%)
aeneas23 10-1 (34.85%)

Tge_damen is in with a win.
Retwin316 is in with a win vs a decent opponent.
PMcPherson needs tge_damen or retwin316 to lose & SOS help.
Aeneas23 needs tge_damen, retwin316 and PMcPherson all to lose given the SOS situation.

Gonna be a fun stretch run!

Thanks Joe. I believe that my previous best month was 9-3 so I'm very pleased :-D . Now I need my opponents (in particular, Tom Kelly, Bastian and Casper) to win some more games to lift my SOS!

Thanks Joe. I am very happy with the run I had. I have much respect for the other players that performed - almost - perfectly, against on average higher seeded opponents.

Congratulations Tom! I know that I was one of your direct challengers but there was still a large part of me that was rooting for you. 12-0 is super impressive.

In other news, Brian has just started his final game against lrcraft3. If Brian wins then lrcraft3 will be 2-6 which *could* be enough to screw over Brian's SOS advantage :(

Bfred comes up literally a card short, and drops his last game (Diplo vs lcraft's HD). For what it's worth, even with a win, his SOS would have taken enough of a hit to fall behind Jared.

So then there were three. Tom's spot is clinched, and it'll come down to SOS for the second berth.

x-tge_damen 12-0
jnapolit31 11-1 (45.59%)
PMcPherson 11-1 (43.70%)

With roughly 16 hours left, a 2% gap isn't insurmountable...but it's a question of how many more games we're going to see, and whether they'll include the necessary players to move those numbers.

I'm such a geek that I have put my opponent's results to date in a spreadsheet. I require ~a 5 game swing in results to overtake Jarad - not impossible but very unlikely (only ~as I do not know who Jarad has played). My opponents who still have games to play are Tom Kelly (5 games), Chris Westergard (7 games), Bastian Winkelhaus (1 game), Casper Jorgensen (6 games) and Mike Kessling (6 games). Come on guys, you can do it!!! :-D

Jared’s SOS is still unchanged from last night, while Paul’s has dipped a little bit today.

Barring anything crazy in the next 2.5 hours, it looks like Tom and Jared will be the February qualifiers, with Paul leading the pack for the at-large bids. Congrats to all three on a great month!
