Worlds Day 2 Standings/Pairings Thread

Hello all! Welcome to Day 2 of the 2020 World Championship. Due to the structure of the event, I'll be doing the pairings by hand, since the software doesn't allow us to start in the middle of a tournament, so they may be slightly 'messier' than the Day 1 heat pairings. Please bear with me

Aside from that, everything will run similarly to Day 1: I will be posting the pairings in this thread and then notifying the Slack group (PM me if you would like to be added), and then the GEMP chat. The GEMP chat post will serve as the official start time of the 5-minute 'late clock' as well as the 90-minute minimum round time. Remember that the DS player will post the table, and winners remember to report your results to results@starwarsccg.org at the end of the game!

I'm not following how some of the bottom slots are ordered. Why is wirfs below Brett, for example?

I would guess because he dropped, as everyone below Brett has done. Would make sense, although I do not know the rules on this one

Correct, everyone at the bottom dropped before completing Day 2.

I'm not following how some of the bottom slots are ordered. Why is wirfs below Brett, for example?

Yeah, it looks a bit weird to me too. Though the table clearly says that its ordered by SOS value, not victory points, so this cannot be used for final standings anyway, as you keep on getting SOS points after dropping, but not victory points.
So for example Aaron Kingery clearly should be ahead of Tom Kelly in the final standings, cause Aaron dropped with 10 victory points after 3 rounds and Tom dropped with 8 victory points after 1 round.

I do not know how we usually order final standings concerning people that dropped. Like is 8 points drop after game 1 better or worse than 8 points drop after game 3? On the one side I think it should be rewarded to stay in the tournament longer, on the other side needing a longer time to reach the same number of points means that your average performance was not as good.
