The premise of this show is that I review GEMP game links submitted by you, the players.

- need some advice about a recent game you played?
- had an interesting matchup ?
- just want to provide more content for the community

Had some time to kill this morning, and because I'm a nerd that loves data, thought it would be fun to go through the first 52 episodes and compile some stats on the games that have been reviewed.

This spreadsheet lists every episode, the game(s) featured, with YouTube links. Should be helpful for anyone who wants to go back and look at a specific match-up. Will try and keep this updated moving forward. Note that I didn't include the random OCS games that Chris occasionally pops into midway; only gamelinks that were submitted and reviewed start to finish.

Lots of people at today's event were excited about the card. If you haven't listened to the podcast, you should- get a head start on thinking how this card will impact the meta.

Well, hate to be the bearer of bad news, but some last minute concerns came up and this card is going to be held back for now.

It's not a happy decision, but for the long-term health of the game it's probably the right one.

For those that didn't listen, the text would have been:

Overseeing it Personally (V) 3
EFFECT
Deploy on an Imperial leader. Force drains at same battleground may not be modified or canceled by opponent. If on Emperor and present with Vader at a battleground site, opponent loses 1 Force during your control phase.


I am sure that with more testing and tweaking the card will come back and probably be even better.

Just listened. Great material. This might be best served under a different thread, but I had a question about something you mentioned at the beginning. You said how you occasionally try to acquire new cards for the PC store. Would it be safe to say that you don't really try to acquire cards that are currently too highly priced compared to the store price? For example, there is a big discrepancy between the store price, and the market (ebay typically) price of "Were You Looking for Me" "We Must Accelerate Our Plans" etc... Just wondered your process for trying to acquire these types of cards that are used by most players. Thanks again!

Every once in a while a guy comes along and insanely overprices some cards on ebay, and sometimes they actually get sold, which encourages others to try the same thing. It usually doesnt last very long and then the prices return to a normal range. Those two cards you referenced currently fit that category.

That's good to know. It certainly is a barrier to entry to get back into the game. I realize that borrowing cards for play is normal, but I'd at least like to have one copy of most cards. I've gotten some help from players, which is nice.

Knowing that your fingers are on the pulse of the market, I will probably try to keep away from eBay unless there's alarmingly cheap cards.
