JNap's "That Time I..." Stream Series

I'm going to start doing a new SWCCG stream series called "That Time I...".

What: It's going to be me commentating replays of past games of mine - that were particularly interesting for one reason or another using the new Gemp interface that Eric Lanz created and for which I am a Beta tester.

Where: My Twitch - twitch.tv/JNap31

Why: Purpose of the series will primarily/hopefully be to entertain other SWCCG'ers, but also to 1) serve as a tutorial to new and returning players on lines of play and to 2) concurrently identify any new bugs with the software that I can report back to Eric.

When: Targeting a rough frequency of one new episode per week, usually nighttime EST - I'll highlight all episodes so they'll be preserved on my Twitch for those interested in watching later.

How long: ~30 minutes per episode.

What made me think of this: The new Gemp interface has easily accessible and navigable replays for each player's entire history. On the current Gemp platform, I believe this would be possible by changing the Gemp code locally a bit, but I don't have the tech wherewithal or patience to do that. Also, I've played almost 2,400 games in the past ~4 years (way too many, I know), so I have a large pool of entertaining games to pick from - across formats, across competitive levels. And finally, because I have personally become more comfortable and capable streaming SWCCG, this became a more realistic task to execute.

Yes, the replay link is universal, how you view it should work fine either way, it's just a different UI to see it.

Yes, correct, that all replays for games played on old interface are viewable on new.

I played Worlds games on old - didn't feel comfortable enough with the new layout and didn't want to lose time unnecessarily. The whole Beta thing too - still some bugs to work out.

Yeah, I asked Eric and Matt C on what we should call the new one. The software says gemp - arena, but that's a working title for hopefully obvious reasons.

I'll use Standard and Unity as much as possible going forward, but hopefully people know what I mean by "old" and "new" if I slip up.

Yes, that's on my future episode ideas list... but I'm 99% certain the next episode will be a live stream of me actually playing a game as I stream, instead of reviewing a previous game.
Should be fun to give folks a view of the gameplay functionality for once.
