Hyperdrive Ideas
Assuming things work out and I'm still able to go to the Endor Grand Prix, I'm going all in on Hyperdrive for LS. Right now I want to try to theory craft a potential deck using the new v-cards, my v-card, and Pete Srodowski's card (yes, it's not currently in this version). Other than that I'm open to any and all suggestions. This is what I have in mind so far:
1.) Anger, Fear, Agression (v)
2.) The Hyperdrive Generator's Gone/We'll Need a New One (v)
3.) Tatooine: Jedi Outskirts
4.) Tatooine: Watto's Junkyard
5.) Heading for the Medical Frigate
6.) We're Leaving (v) (must be in deck)
7.) Squadron Assignments
8.) Jedi Business
9.) Credits Will Do Fine
10.) Impressive, Most Impressive v
11.) Qui-Gon Jinn's Lightsaber
12.) Mace Windu's Lightsaber
13.) Obi-Wan's Lightsaber (R3)
14.) Obi-Wan, PL v
15.) Obi-Wan, PL v
16.) Obi-Wan, PL v
17.) Tatooine: Mos Espa
18.) Mace Windu v
19.) Mace Windu v
20.) Master Qui-Gon v
21.) Master Qui-Gon v
22.) Lando with Vibro Ax
23.) Lando with Vibro Ax
24.) Padme (non virtual)
25.) Padme (non virtual)
26.) Jar Jar Binks
27.) Threepio with Parts Showing
28.) Officer Dolphe
29.)Anakin Skywalker
30.)Ric Ollie, Bravo Leader
31.)Ric Ollie, Bravo Leader
32.) Lt. Arven Wendik
33.) Bravo 1
34.) Bravo 2
35.) Bravo 3
36.) Azure Angel
37.) All Wings Report In/Darklighter Spin
38.) All Wings Report In/Darklighter Spin
39.) All Wings Report In/Darklighter Spin
40.) Tatooine (Episode 1)
41.) Tatooine Celebration
42.) Tatooine Celebration
43.) Blaster Deflection
44.) Clash of Sabers
45.) Speak with the Jedi Council
46.) Speak with the Jedi Council
47.) Coruscant: JCC
49.) Wesa Gotta Grand Army
50.) Wesa Gotta Grand Army
51.) Naboo: Boss Nass' Chambers
52.) Nabrun Leids
53.) Were You Looking For Me
54.) Escape Pod/We're Doomed
55.) Houjix
56.) Sense
57.) A Jedi's Resilience
58.) CT-5385 (Tup)
59.) Sorry About the Mess/BP
60.) A Jedi's Resilience
This is admittedly very, very rough. I would like to fit Pete's (v-card) Ric Olie in the Queen's Starship in here pretty badly. Right now the goal of this is to be able to retrieve with celebration for 2-3 and drain for 5 once you get set up, or disrupt your opponent. Tup and SATM/BP are pretty self explanatory. Anakin seemed better in space with what I am currently trying to do. Not Tatooine BG sites seem bad for this build.
The biggest issues I see are I have way too many low destiny cards and I probably don't have the optimal amount of certain cards. Right now I only have 15 or so cards that are destiny 4 or higher. I'm guessing that it be better to have around 20-22 optimally for a celebration/stay on Tatooine Hyperdrive deck.
If anyone has any feeback/suggestions on what to cut and replace, that'd be awesome! Also feel free to smash the deck, as long as you have some suggestions what I can do to improve things.
Good Cards to Consider
-Rebel Barrier
-2nd Blaster Deflection
-2nd Clash
-2nd Sense
-Alter
-Rescue in the Clouds (1-3 copies)
-Ric Ollie in Queen's Royal Starship
-All the unique clones
-It's a Trap
-Control/Tunnel Vision
-Perimeter Scan v
-Odin Neeslor/First Aid
-Smoke Screen
-Knights of the Old Republic
-Good High Destiny Cards

Obi is still the most important card in the deck. He gives you the guaranteed early activation, and helps you loop interrupts later on. He also gives you your starships against space decks. Smoke Screen could be swapped for Dodge and Padmé could potentially be non-v.
There is a case to be made for running your own system as well, at the expense of JCC+Speak (as you might get enough activation anyway).

I feel like adding another Padme and adding Yane (V) will help with your low destiny problem (stacking with Yane), help get Obi out turn 1 and help with the ping on the backside.

Yeah. If you look at my version and change the 2x Speak and 1x JCC to a EP1 system that you can pull, and 2 more ways of finding Obi, that would probably be ok.

Re: Hyperdrive Ideas
Here's what I was thinking of:
-Starting Jedi Business & I Must Be Allowed To Speak (V) let's you pull Farm (V), Mos Espa, and Tatooine system on turn 1; also can get two used pile pulls with Lando and Bowie.
-Somewhat light on space; kinda have to play tight against known space decks; against known ground or hybrid decks, being able to pull ships with Obi is a plus
-You can really do a lot of manipulation with their destinies with Jedi Mind Trick (V), They're Tracking Us (V), BoShek, Fives; I considered Yane (V) for destiny setups and I still want to find space for KFC in here.
-SATM non-combo for higher destiny and immunity to Imbalance Combo
Hope that gives someone smarter than me a few ideas to run with.

Re: Hyperdrive Ideas
I know I'm the only one bothering with Tatooine Celebration in Hyperdrive, supposed to be "win more", but now that you can play Tatooine ep. 1 system before you flip...it should be at least a bit more interesting?

Re: Hyperdrive Ideas
This card is good because it pulls locations. We need more stuff like this instead of Accelerate or Wesa x8 in most decks. Then the game really opens up to as what cards you are good with not who can get activation out faster. More interaction(s) and focusing on deploying cards rather than using 2-4 turns to get out your activation.

Re: Hyperdrive Ideas
i myself have a clones/handmaid approach and love it. obi x3, some aliens and master qui-gon.
I think now with the new effect i will add mace in as well and probably take out solo (v) - maybe a 2nd mace, or qui-gon as well.
Im tempted to go with the celebration set up as well but it could be win-more..once you flip you'll retrieve by battling any ways.

Re: Hyperdrive Ideas
I tend to agree, but too much/consistent activation creates a whole new set of problems (e.g. pre-nerf Shadows)marines28 wrote:This card is good because it pulls locations. Re: Hyperdrive Ideas
I could be wrong but this looks light on pilots to be able to defend celebration. I think I wouldn’t play celebration, would just play a nimble space package that can let you drain free on the ground and keep em honest.dx_37 wrote:Here's what I was thinking of:-Starting Jedi Business & I Must Be Allowed To Speak (V) let's you pull Farm (V), Mos Espa, and Tatooine system on turn 1; also can get two used pile pulls with Lando and Bowie.SpoilerShow[Starting]

Re: Hyperdrive Ideas
You're probably right. I don't think Celebration needs to be the keystone to this deck. A flipped Map hurts that strategy quite a bit. And outside of the Map scenario, you'll be getting some retrieval with your objective. BoShek on the Queen's starship could be sweet. Too destinies and de facto immune to < 6.stimpy wrote:

Re: Hyperdrive Ideas
Weird as it is, you cannot deploy Ayla in Hyperdrive since she does not have an EPI icon. One of the reasons NOT to run clones.
Hyperdrive has such a degenerate flip side, but that 3/2 starting activation ratio is just so bad. Trooper IE unload 10+ damage before you get in the first drain at the Junkyard. I really wonder where the deck will end up.

She is a unique alien and so she meets the objective's deployment restrictions. She's playable.brainschrat wrote:Weird as it is, you cannot deploy Ayla in Hyperdrive since she does not have an EPI icon. One of the reasons NOT to run clones.

That makes more sense, mea culpa. Forgot that part of new effect. I’m still pulling her as above and now have a better reason to!sjacree wrote:Maybe he's thinking that because Jedi Business will make her lost?CRG wrote:She is a unique alien and so she meets the objective's deployment restrictions. Re: Hyperdrive Ideas
I still don't understand why she wasn't given ep1 icon at reset. She died in EP3... Or even errata, although now she has AIs whuch may play into it.
