Re: subsilver
Phpbb 3.2 completely removed support for subsilver. There is a theme that gets close, but that's as good as you're going to get. If you want to complain, go to the phpbb forum and complain there. The new themes are also much more mobile friendly.
Re: subsilver
In what way are they unreadable? Also, subsilver is sooooo 2005WiseMarsellus wrote: ↑August 10th, 2019, 12:35 pmthe new formats are all unreadable. is there any way to get this one back?

Re: subsilver
Don't get me wrong, things do look better in general and your work is appreciated. But subsilver > any of the new ones. We all have different ways of viewing/browsing and when one we've used for years is gone with no adequate replacement, that is a bit annoying.

Re: subsilver
consider me a fan of 2005 then. i consider these new forum layout options a gigantic eyesore, to the point where i am only coming here to check this thread and to see if/when subsilver is back. there is no way i'm going to be able to use the forums without it
Re: subsilver
The AllenStyle SUBSILVER theme is the closest replacement available to the old subsilver theme that we're ever going to get. PHPBB went from supporting two completely different theme styles to one. There were probably a lot of reasons for this (supporting one underlying theme structure is easier than supporting two). All themes are now based on pro silver. There's nothing I can do about it. I held off upgrading to 3.2 for a long time because of the affinity many of you have for subsilver, but the time came where it was better to move forward than to stay where we were.Darth_Link wrote: ↑August 10th, 2019, 2:35 pmDon't get me wrong, things do look better in general and your work is appreciated. As I mentioned in the announcement post, there are a lot of new features that we now have that we couldn't have before. Yes, many of them are frivolous, but there is also better security and anti-spam capabilities with the new forum software.
I am truly sorry for those that have to adjust to a new theme, but in time you will learn how to use one of the many options currently available.
Re: subsilver
I'm confused.
Everything looks the same for me, except avatars are on the right now instead of the left.
What changed?

Are spoiler tags supposed to still work? They don't do anything currently.

I came here to say the appearance of the forums has not changed my quality of life yet, but I haven't tried to post more than this yet.

Re: subsilver
If u use the AllenStyle SUBSILVER theme and change the forum width to the max (1800 I think), you get something somewhat resembling the old subsilver.
Re: subsilver
I like to pretend the forum is still as it was and it's just me who is quickly going insane.

I kinda feel the same way here. The differences are very minimal for me. I selected a new theme, spent less than 5 minutes navigating my preferences and now I'm set.
Dare I say, I like this new forum interface a bit better? Why is everyone so up in arms?
