Pre-Set 12 Deckbuilding

Not sure if anyone else feels the same, but after going on a deckbuilding tear (physical decks) last Fall, I have a few ideas bopping around but I don't really want to build anything with set 12 coming out with a bunch of erratas.

I suppose it's a complaint, but usually before a set comes out, my deckbuilding doesn't really stall out, since I know that there will be cards that I might be adding to decks from the new sets, or even new decks being built entirely. With set 12 however, I am basically waiting to see which cards are going to get changed that totally transform (maybe even remove from consideration) decks that I already have built.

I am confident overall the changes will be good for the game, but at the same time it's kind of a bummer to be anticipating the set because of all the decks that I need to go through and take cards out of/majorly overhaul, rather than all the cards that I might be adding to decks I've grown to like.

Well then there's probably not much that can be done about this complaint.

Yeah, sucks. I hope it's worth it!

Do we have a release date for the tweak set yet?

Is the concern that you don't want to do the theory crafting for new decks that won't be good in the new meta or that you don't want to take the time to do arts and crafts? These days I only touch my physical cards if I'm getting ready for an in person event. I build, play, and tweak my decks almost exclusively on GEMP.

I guess I am having trouble stating it precisely but with most sets coming out, I usually have a pretty good idea of the 57th-60th cards that I would consider removing to add new ones, or something like that. I am waiting a bit to see if the arts and crafts would be a waste of time for some cards, but also just working on deck ideas seems especially wasteful right now if many/much will be mooted soon(?).

What I started to go was go through my decks and move the cards that were already mentioned to get changes to the front so I am starting to think about what to do with those given the changes. I guess what I don't like so much is that I have very little idea which other cards are going to have major changes. Maybe the tweak set is a smaller set of changes than it sounded like to me, but I've basically shifted into neutral because it seems "riskier" to build a deck now before 12 than it has before most other sets (riskier in terms of "well now THAT basic idea is out the window")

I know it's probably not practical or maybe not even preferable, but once it becomes clear that specific cards are going to be changed, knowing which ones, even without knowing the changes, would be nice. Typing that out it sounds silly, since it's not like that had been done for any other sets.

Given that its legal for the MPC, i would assume the whole shebang will be spoiled/available ~1 month in advance.

Note to self: use the word shebang more frequently

Play something nobody will expect OR the normal person would not anticipate.

So many decks run the same 65-83% cards, so mix it up.

Run Blue 11 and some ppl in Legend.

Do No Idea with camping Leia, blaster ping, lady interrupt, etc.

Do Y4Ops with heavy ground.

Run Speeders with Poe.

CCT "auto-flip" turn 1 mains.

Trooper Beats.

In general, the only cards to get nerfed will be good cards. The only cards that will get helped will be bad cards. Build decks with bad cards, and you'll be fine.

There are good cards which aren't frequently played and blow people out. You just have to invest some time and be creative ;)
