disagree, i think even the /\ and \/ look bad and make the game more intimidating for NARPS, so adding OPG would be even worse, IMO

Re: Flattening the Curve
we could probably have an icon for "redraw" at this point, like a a little curved arrow.

Re: Flattening the Curve
IIRC, these icons do NOT save any card space as they are always written out in full before checking whether they fit the given card template. This decision was taken a long time ago to prevent "text creep". I believe that D&D/proofing occasionally break this rule were the same functioning text would fit the template but the use of the icons allow for the card to read better.

i have the exact opposite opinion and believe that in the next reset all of the PC-created abbreviation icons should be eliminated

Re: Flattening the Curve
From a purely aesthetic point of view, I like the upload and download symbols, but could do without the immune to sense, alter, control. Probably because I feel that the only color in game text should come from set icons.

Thinking more about Weapons Display (V) getting blanked. Do you think we will see people bringing DS Vibro Axes back? I’ve always been hesitant to run them because I’d lose 2 force every time they worked.
DS has a lot of good aliens Vibros can go on. I’m a little excited to start splashing them in decks to see if they actually pan out (though much less excited to have them played against me)

I agree. When I was learning the game I remember seeing all those symbols and it really made me hesitate thinking that the game mechanics were completely different.quesosauce37 wrote: ↑October 18th, 2020, 12:54 amdisagree, i think even the /\ and \/ look bad and make the game more intimidating for NARPS, so adding OPG would be even worse, IMO

Re: Flattening the Curve
Can we please have this thread renamed to "10/2020 Competitive Balance Errata" and possibly moved to Announcements?

Re: Flattening the Curve
Cross-posting this from Current Rulings & Errata thread, since it isn't mentioned anywhere in this thread:
In addition, one noteworthy change made post announcement is that for the next-to-last sentence on Until We Win, Or The Chances Are Spent, when you place a Rebel in your Lost Pile out of play, you can only do the extra regular move with a Rebel spy and you may only cancel the weapon targeting of a non-Undercover Rebel spy.
Until We Win, Or The Chances Are Spent [Desperate Tactics (V)] 7
[Special Edition - C]
LIGHT - OBJECTIVE - BACK
Text: While this side up, your spies are defense value +2 (and power +1 if with Stardust) and are immune to Undercover. While Stardust on your spy, opponent may not cancel your Force drains at battlegrounds. Once per turn, may place a Rebel in your Lost Pile out of play to make a regular move with your Rebel spy during your control phase or cancel an attempt to target your non-Undercover Rebel spy with a weapon.
Flip this card if you do not occupy two Scarif locations (unless Rogue One at a Scarif site you occupy).

Unironically yes
Re: Flattening the Curve
I wasn't aware it was broken that required it to be fixed.
