When Vader is hunting down Luke, it’s on CC. When the inquisitors are it’s on Malachor. As Gergall said it used to be two separate functions but playtesting determined the choice to not be much of a choice.

whats the thematic reasoning behind deploying cc sites with the new hd objective?

At one point there were 2 separate themes to choose from:
-Hunt Down with CC sites. (Thematically, Vader hunting down Luke on CC)
OR
-Hunt Down with Inquisitors + Malachor sites

They got merged somewhere along the way.

I had mentioned this in the proofing forum already but I would like to congratulate the designer who came up with my favorite thematic text in a long time.

It's easy to write gimmicky, overly specific thematic text.
It's easy to write very long, overdone thematic text.

It's difficult to write thematic text that is short, sweet, and useful. But that's what this is.

DS II Chasm Walkway - This hurts BHBM bad, especially if you can pull it. But it's a 2/2 site that they drain for -1 at and is a mobile site so multiple problems there (like the Rescue in the clouds card you see played ALL the time). And Jedi are Power +2? Perfect only site you need to pull to stick Tank Qui Gon there and let him wipe out everyone.

You can't play Qui-gon in Hitco though.

2/0 Sites that drain -1 or that opponent can't drain at (like boss nass chambers).
If we are using Twix 2-0s then there should be risk balancing the reward. The shields already protect them enough, I don't think we need added 'protected' 2-0 cards out there. Multiple sites in this set with this problem: Maul Chambers, Control Station, Dryden's Study.
Kudos to at least putting the 'add a battle destiny for initiating' gametxt on Executor Control Station though - I like that.

Possible I misread your sentence, but DS can force drain at Boss Nass Chambers.

Whoever is responsible for this little goofy deck helper has my deepest thanks. Refreshing to see that lower tier decks haven't been completely forgotten by D&D.

Nevertheless it might happen that the playable top tier deck ranged has not really gotten bigger. See a clear shift to Hunt Down (V) for DS.

I like the direction of the new Hunt Down v and that it actually is something thematic for a change. I’m guessing that in PT that cloud city is probably the better of 2 locations to setup at since you can start crush the rebellion and keep opponent from blowing you up with 40 battle destinies.

New visage is pretty nice that it can’t be cancelled and gets the lightsabers for your inquisitors.

im not sure how if feel about that. not giving the option to ls to shut off direct damage is kinda unprecedented.

With the one damage on your turn it's not worth resources to cancel it anyway. The deck plays much different to normal Huntdown.

right, but i cant think of any situattion where one side is doing direct damage and there isnt some out for the opposing side to shut it off/or prevent it.

Twilight is Upon Me - this card is so over the top I hope it gets enough feedback to get rid of it or change it. It's a startable +1 generation AND takes away an icon to dark so it's a 2-0. At least it's not universal and unique to HITCO.
Don't like the idea that it can pull another 2-0 that deploys Yoda as well as over powered DSII site.

Yoda's Hut doesn't pull Yoda. The JCC does, which has always been a part of HITCO. Kinda agree with your other points, though, but I also see what D&D is going for with this and want to give it a chance.

In general, I've always felt that TRM is a boring platform and much prefer something like HITCO as a mains platform with the intricacies and more interesting gameplay interactions offered by an objective (that also starts a battleground site). HITCO may not be the most complex objective around, but it's still much more interesting (and thematic!) than not playing a battleground and just unloading on opponent's. Same thing with the new HD; it encourages the player to play battlegrounds instead of wasting card slots on pullers for 2/0s. (The new Anakin Skywalker also opens up some interesting plays in HITCO with moving around Prophecy at any time.)

Minor thing, but from what I've found online, it's called 'ID9 Seeker Droid' (without a hyphen). The card has Probe Droid as a subtype, so probably doesn't need it in title?

Seeker is a weapon type with specific rules and we want to avoid any unintended interactions if this has Seeker in its title. It does look like this should be ID9 instead of ID-9 though. Thank you!
