I am proud
I can't imagine Decipher and the original advocates dreaming of where our game has gone because of our players and volunteers. This game is where it is today because of our volunteers and I can't thank you all enough. With our 25th world championships starting soon, to the recent Collecting Encyclopedia update Kevin Wilson did, to the fantastic interview podcasts from Kendall, to the Holotheatre shows anchored by Dan and Jerry, to the amazing job our Proofers, Slicers, Playtesters, and design/development team did for set 13, and to the countless others I haven't mentioned. It is inspiring.
Can't wait to see what happens next!

Re: I am proud
Scott, thank you. However, none of this would be happening if it wasn't for you. The time and effort you have put into this wonderful game can never be repaid. As a player, helper, and lover of this game, thank you for everything you do.Advocate wrote: ↑December 3rd, 2020, 8:42 pmI can't imagine Decipher and the original advocates dreaming of where our game has gone because of our players and volunteers. Thanks Dan. We can talk about me when I hopefully make it to day 2.
Until then let's talk about our community and players.

Re: I am proud
As a returning player from about a year ago I was amazed at the wealth of resources I was able to find on the PC site and forums and on social.
Plus I finally have a community where I don't have to wait weeks (months) to get in a game, I can log on and play. Really amazing stuff.
Thanks to everyone who makes it possible and for all the friendly faces along the way!

Re: I am proud
I came back into the game after not playing it since Coruscant was released and I was, and still am, amazed at how the PC and everyone else has taken care of the game in the post-Decipher era. I want to thank you for all your great effort at keeping this game I played and loved during my late teens alive for so many years. Great job, folks!

Yeah, thank you everyone for not only preserving the game, but actively fostering and growing this game for all these years.

Re: I am proud
We can talk about all the people over the years who have done a lot for the game to keep it a float. The numerous advocates, the people on design, playtesting, proofing or graphics, or even the volunteers like Gogolen, Dan or Jerry that do so much. The reality is though it all starts and stops with Scott. Without Scott, I'm not sure we would have survived as long as we have. There have been a lot of road altering bumps/potholes along the way and each time, Scott has navigated us through it better than his GPS does in his forum posts.
We've all gone away and come back, some multiple times. But each person here is a part of this community that thrives on us being a community. Its nice to say that after 25 years, this game is still around and is still improving.

Re: I am proud
Yes, agree with everything above regarding the community as a whole, but to some degree or another, Scott is essentially the reason why we're all here right now.
Definitely a tremendous degree for me personally - he was the one person in the game I was connected with in my "SWCCG Dark Ages".
Cheers to everyone to keep all the good things rolling!

2020 has been a * year, but it's been a great year for SWCCG.
A lot of amazing work has been done to keep the game thriving.

Re: I am proud
Scott you know I love you in a mostly hetero way.
None of this happens without you. None of it. SWCCG would be long gone. Your passion, your drive, your sexy mirror selfies full of grey hair. All of it.
I'm back playing in worlds again because of you. I'm rebuilding my collection to play in person again because of you. The game is still here.
Love you buddy.
