Nice use of the Photoshop Custom Shape Tool!

:)

See you at WORLDS!
Actually everything was done in Illustrator. I'm much better with that than Photoshop. :D

In the spirit of TS's playtesting thread, I present the following story.

Today I woke up at [time] and got ready for work. I make my living as an [occupation], and take the [mode of transportation] to work. When I got there, I was happy to see that one of my coworkers had bought some [type of breakfast food]! I was so [emotion] because I was really hungry. Later I got a call from [business associate] who told me that [important business news]. Wow, that's huge! So I went to see [person], who's the head of [department in my company]. And he said we should try and do more [business activity]. I can see why he holds that position, he's pretty [adjective].
Greatest post of all time
Thank you. <bows>

:)
Seriously, that was awesome! I really like Asphalizo, and was looking forward to the thread, so I was a bit disapointed to see no real data here at all. Your post summed it up beautifully![/quote

Histarical!

So Bobby went 4-2 on Day 3 and got 4th place in Worlds. After a pitiful performance on Day 2 and sucked it up and went 4-2 in the "I'm not playing in Day 3" Tourney to take 5th or 6th. I think we did pretty well for our first showing at Worlds!!!

I'll have more info and updates when I get back to Texas.

Indeed. Congrats Bobby! I was thinking "hey, I've lost respectably to that guy before...", though I can't remember if we've played more than that one game.

I've updated the thread with the decks we playtested with. There were alot more but some didn't make it past 2 games. As it turns out the QMC Aliens deck was the best choice for Worlds. Bob went 3-0 with it in Day 2 and then 2-1 on Day 3 only losing to Chris Shaner on Day 3. Chris had played Bob on Day 2 and new to tech for it. I went 2-1 in the consolation tourney with it and lost 2 and Endor Ops because I misplayed Landing Claw. The deck design was based off of a deck posted herehttp://www.decktech.net/starwarsccg/dec ... deck=34936 by thehooky. We made some modifications and streamlined it a bit and the rest is history.

As far as the AOBS that we played it went 3-3 for Bob over the 2 days and 0-3. It was a tuff deck to play and Bob did well with it due to his familiarity with it and his skill. I, on the other hand, got rotten luck and then decided to just fall apart. My skillz with it were dwarfed by Bob's and it was evident during my Day 2 embarrassment.

The HD w/ walkers was a deck created by my friend Toby. It started Endor Shield (V) to get out General Veers (V) and/or Tarkin. Many variations evolved over the course of playtesting including some with out the Endor Shield (V) start but still with the added Walkers. Walkers = staying power and that was what we wanted. However in a meta that was expecting HD we couldn't even really think about bringing it.

Also a bad choice for me was LS Senate. I think in the end it was just a deck that was too complicated for me to play. I'm a simple guy and I like simple decks. During playtesting I don't think I ever went a game with Senate that I didn't mis-play during. I choose it in the end for Day 2 cause I hadn't played the QMC much. Bad mistake the QMC was much easier to pick up and play.

WYS with optional Obi start was a deck based off of 1000needles' WYS posted on Decktech coupled with the optional Obi-wan start. I had taken out many cards that I felt weren't needed and then rearranged the deck to suit my needs. In the end it didn't work out well and so the deck was scraped before worlds.

We built alot of decks and playtested alot of ideas. We really enjoyed our experience at worlds and meeting everyone. We'll be looking forward to next years worlds and hopefully be bringing more members of Team Stephenville!!!

I'll be there next year.

You know what I'm talking about. This is just like that time Captain Picard wanted Luke to go with Treebeard but Luke was all "I don't know what you're talking about, do you mean this dragon I caught?" and Captain Picard was all NO RETARD, I mean go with that tree and Luke just kept talking to his friends Anakin and Jar-Jar and then he left Picard on Mordor and forgot about it completely. I love that episode.

Well, I'll let you come. But if Blake wants to be an elitist and go by himself then he can...

A.) find a hotel to stay at
B.) pay a bunch of money for a taxi OR learn the Chicago CTA system
C.) playtest by himself

Yes. I am aware. That statement was more for Toby who had a bye in to Day 2 and didn't use it.

I don't know that I've ever laughed at anything on these forums as much as I did at Rogue 4's re-post of Kevin's day. Things on the decktech boards used to crack me up on a regular basis, but on the PC boards, that could be the funniest thing I've ever seen. Very well done, Rogue 4.
