Congrats to Bobby Hilbun the lone person from Texas to make day 3. He just happens to be a member of team stephenville as well :)
Blake Huffman

You know what I'm talking about. This is just like that time Captain Picard wanted Luke to go with Treebeard but Luke was all "I don't know what you're talking about, do you mean this dragon I caught?" and Captain Picard was all NO RETARD, I mean go with that tree and Luke just kept talking to his friends Anakin and Jar-Jar and then he left Picard on Mordor and forgot about it completely. I love that episode.

Just got back home and worlds was a blast. Really cool to see all my old TN friends and talk with them and then see all the faces I talk to almost every day. Everyone was cool to talk to and it was a lot of fun.

Hunter was amazing both days. If anyone thinks this guy has been out of the game and hasn't picked up cards, you are wrong, he knows more about the current Meta than almost all the players that play every week that were there.

The Meta is really old school 2001/02 though and this might be why he is doing as well as he is.

Schele had some amazing games yesterday, I didn't even pay attention to my final game because I was watching Schele pull out a close game.

Lots of fun, cool to put faces to names on here and it was cool meeting Brian Fred, that guy is the *.

Have we seen any of the promised "extreme NPE decks"? Or any signs that the meta is totally screwed up instead of fun, open and interactive?

Yeah, a dark deck is rearing its head apparently.

Something that has really been around for a long time, but never really played.

Hunter lost by 40 apparently. Lets see how the other decks handle this dark deck though.

Um, except for that time that he won the world championship.

Correct about Hunter not winning Worlds before, but it should be noted that like few others (Paul Todd Feldman, Bastian Winkelhaus, Steven Lewis, Jonny Chu, and a few others) he has continually and repeatedly finished WAY up there amongst the top few players.

SWCCG has never really had a true Michael Jordan or Tiger Woods or anyone who has completely dominated, at least not at the World Championship level. But to consistently play at the top level and get to Day 3 and finish year after year near the top shows an amazing amount of talent and skill at the game, I think.

Just to be clear. I was only stating that for fact purposes. Besides Bastian -- I don't think anyone can compare with Hunter in terms of big wins at big events.

A few words before taking the airplane:
I played WYS Panic Day 2, who won 2 games out of 3, losing only to Brian Fred game 4 (i was 3-1) due to having to lose ONE card from the reserve, which was Panic, so he understood. Even then, I drew only crap for Panic, while I was topdecking characters/ships for drains.
ROPs did well too, it's just I wasn't expecting so many POTF cancellers :D
Next time, i'll pack a BG system. :p

Day 3 consolations decks were the funny crazy broken decks i wanted:
Senate Slug and Dreadnaught Supremacy Fleet (killed MBO in space battles after the DS was blown up!!!)

All my decks will be posted soon.
Got to run!!!

I'll post my Day 2 LS as well. It went 3-0 for me with wins over mserisman, Pistone, and Aglets.

Han with GUn plus angry Chewie plus Life Debt FTW.
