I would have preferred a regular open tourney simply because with more open format tourneys, I can try more decks. Plus, the deck choices were fairly polarized because only a few decks (like WYS and HD) play well without a lot of v-cards. But it was still a good tournament.

I really like the idea; I wish I could have been at worlds to experiment with it.

it's kinda hard to judge based on a first run alone. i actually think that the limit on v-cards allows for more diversity as a lot of older decks can be played without worry of more powerful v-card based decks rolling over them.

decks i played, played against or heard were played:

wys/kdh (i played, went 2-1 losing to garret larson's hunt down)
rops (i played, went 1-2 losing to brian hunter's hbx and kevin brownell's hb w/ guns)
hunt down
rescue the princess
dark senate
hbx
hidden base with guns/on target

there were more decks being played than listed here - again, these are the only ones i heard were played or i played against. overall, deck choices were fairly diverse, and none seemed to be overly powerful while confined by the limited format.

personally, i'd like to see the format tested more in the future. i think it has potential to provide a pretty interesting range of decks to choose from.

I like the idea, though I never played it, so I dont really know. I'm totally building a deck for it though. Or two, or three...

It was fun to play in. I don't like having to have different decks built just because of the time of rebuilding or changing things but it was fun to play in. I voted in the middle of this, either way works with me.

I didn't vote as I was unable to attend, but didn't anyone play Ewoks?

I was going to put I could narrow the (v) cards under 8.

It wasn't bad, it wasn't great.

I liked the change, especially since it's a deckbuilding challenge.
The 6V card was a great change.
What shouldn't be done next year is keep the SAME format, but change it again.
So that decks are again, different.
Like the format "only one copy of each card inside the deck"

Or better yet, just ban DDM from playing creatures.

Yeah, I agree with DDM. Make it a revolving format. Where it changes every year. I think that would keep it fun and interesting.

I do like worlds weekend being:
Thurs: Sealed, Alternate last chance qualifier
Fri: Day 1
Sat: Day 2
Sun: Day 3

FWIW: I really like the 6-v card format. Anything that is different and gives away two seats to day 2 will certainly be played.
