There is a good chance that I'm coming down for this. Looks very exciting :)

PS! Kristiansen is with a "K", not "Ch"

nice to hear that.

we are working extremly on the rules (and organisations), but we are not in common with all (1 or 2 points, not more) of them and discuss the delicate issues before posting. I think it needs 1 or 2 more days, because we won't post something, that we three didn't sign all (I guess...)

Sorry, passing the qualifier on is not possible.
Cedric will have to earn it on Day 1. There will be at least 2 spots to earn on Day 1 (maybe more).

MPC Year Ender Rules: Pre-Qualifying and Registration

Here is the updated list of all MCP qualifiers for the Year Ender:

1) Caspersen, Thomas (Norway)
2) Christiansen, Magnus (Norway)
3) Consoli, Angelo (Germany)
4) De Vries, Floris (Netherlands)
5) Friedrichs, Dirk (Germany)
6) Fuss, Julian (Germany)
7) Koszegi, Agoston (Hungary)
8) Kovacs, Jeno (Hungary)
9) Kreidl, Nico (Germany)
10) Lambrecht, Stefaan (Belgium)
11) Menzel, Chris (Germany)
12) Pusztai, Laszlo (Hungary)
13) Szegedi, Gabor (Hungary)
14) Van Beurden, Kris (Belgium)
15) will be decided at MCP Day 1
16) will be decided at MCP Day 1

Registration and MCP:

Pre-qualifiers:
All qualified players from the list above have to register till 31 October by paying the fee of 10 Euro to their European Flight Leaders (those will pass it on to me).
Norwegians have to pay 20 Euro, since Norway was not part of the other countries’ collective price support purchase this year. (Sorry, but maybe next year will be different. Part of the prices come from what we collected at the other European events).

Non-European Players:
2 of the 14 pre-qualified spots not registered by 31 October will be given to any Non-European players willing to come over here (I know some Europeans will hate me for that, but I wanna set a good example here. Whoever travels that far deserves a Bye).
If there are not enough free spots, I’ll sacrify my Bye for a Non-European player.
Non-European players have send their booked flight confirmation till 31 October to me.

MCP Day 1 (17 November 2007):
After 31 October, we will have a list of all the registered players for Day 2 of the Year Ender.
Any other free spots can be won on Day 1. At least 2 places are to be given away that day.
If any registered players do not show up on Day 2, we will also give those spots to Day 1 winners (from top to bottom of course). The entry fee for Day 1 will be 10 Euro/player.
Most prices will also be given to Day 1 participants. T-Shirts, Polo Shirts, booster packs, posters, pins, etc. Any players registering for Day 2 won’t receive any prices on Day 1.
Day 1 will be a regular swiss style tournament of 6 rounds (no final confrontation).
Any pre-qualified players for Day 2 cannot participate on Day 1, but we’ll have side events.

MCP Day 2 (18 November 2007):
This will be a match play elimination style tourney in which only the winner of a match goes on.
First turn will be 16 players, second turn 8, third 4, and then the final 2 will decide the champion.
There will be side events for all players who come out of the MCP early, and for all the players from Day 1, who still want to play. The judge for the MCP Day 2 will be some-one not participating.
The entry fee for Day 2 is also 10 Euro (also for those playing on Day 1, please keep in mind that the other qualifiers also paid for the event in which they qualified).
We’ll also have some small prices for the players of the MPC, but Day 2 players will mainly fight for the V-Card creation and the glory. ;o)

Andreas and Nico will post further details later. Any of the good stuff comes from them, while I’m responsible for all the bad things. I am the Dark Lord of the Chrith after all. ;o)

May the Force be with you

Why not? They payed the entrance fee either, and have to pay next day too due to everyone had to qualify at the event stuff where they do got something for the qualification! ;)

All what's beeing said is, that they just won't receive it on Day 1.

Problem is, that when we give PS on Day 1 to all, all playewrs with bye can use that just to jump on day 1 and get all of it & players who really want to win MPC don't need that high price support, since you know, that we do that for a growing player base.

However, good point of you, we will talk about that and you'll get another answer to your question.

okay, here is the answer I promised:

I feel that those players who want to play the MPC, want to win the virtual card design, which is going to be very rare in the next months.
So these players who will qualify on Day 1 won't recieve their prices. If they are out on Day 2, they might get one or two more boosters, but that's no promise.

MPC is for honour and for the v-card and some little price support ;) and of course the title, etc, what chris mentioned.

note: this can be changed when chris is back from asia.

Wow...

You go from a Dogma reference to star wars to harry popper...

I'm not sure if you're aware of it but pop culture in germany is behind about 60 years.. They're still using ovens for their primary form of entertainment as the TV hasn't been invented there yet.

The Dogma reference may have been unintentional. It's a bit of a reach.
