I'm too busy riceing it up in China this month that I won't be at worlds, otherwise that'd be a hell-of-a team :-)

I'm noticing a trend of people not picking themselves. Either everyone doesnt want to seem self centered, or just a backup plan for the fantasy contest in case things dont go as planned

I'm not sure if I want to go with Team Endor or Team 2nd Place.

edit: Team second place is 5 points too expensive.

idk, i picked myself, mikefrench picked himself, chu, Konsker, Ryan French, harpster.

actually that's 4 endor guys and 2 others. maybe the endor people are just cocky.

the rest have no self delusions/confidence :P

At first I thought "Well if you're going to win, then why didn't you pick yourself for your team?" Then I realized that he meant win the contest, rather than win the tournament.

Thanks, budday! Send me some good decklists, and I'll see what I can do about making your investment in me worthwhile! And if I need a 15-pointer, I'll keep you in mind.

Chu didn't really have any choice though. If he doesn't pick himself, he won't be able to spend all 100 points on Team "That's Waisist!" (Somebody post that pic, I don't have it.)

well, i mean, what were your placings in the last 4-5 worlds? top 8 in all of them? 2nd twice? it's just a smart pick.

just go hunter, shannon. that would be safe. but it isn't 3-5 guys so it doesn't work.

My bet is that Shannon flops and doesn't make top 8. The man is married now!
