This includes everyone that finished 5-3 or better. Remember there were 53 total participants. The rest will get up.....................soon. This should be enough for you 'parts per million' kinda guys to start running some numbers.

10/25 (very early am) update -

All results are posted. I'll run some numbers hopefully next week sometime.........unless someone else beats me to it.

And then there are other people who walk out literally saying that was the worst movie I've ever seen. Having those two extremes to me is the mark of the type of movie that I want to make.

pretty wild only 2 diff separating me from nelson and me from olson... me and shaw had a weird interaction in the final turn of the game where he limited me for 4 but i had played were doomed but we forgot so i edged luke lost to get 2 cards back in my deck. but that situatoin couldve played out like 3 or 4 different ways that could've resulted in ties, I wonder what would happen if you do that.

it's like highest win or something for the next tiebreaker.

This is kind of skewed because you're looking at the top 20. The people who figured out how to win with dark clearly rose to the top, that's extremely evident by the top 8.

At the same time, this represents less than 40% of the field at worlds on day two. So while I appreciate you putting this together, and it's interesting, it doesn't tell the story at all, and is probably just going to detract from the point we're trying to get across about just how bad dark is.

Gemme, I agree that we need all the data, it's just amusing that some people prior to worlds were saying that we should only look at the top 8-20 people for this kind of information (which is obviously not representative of the whole, especially since DS has a 60% win rate).

Exactly. We knew going into worlds that whoever figured out dark was going to win. Chu and I ran nearly identical decks and Sokols was pretty similar as well. All three of us made top 8. TTO was obviously a big dark deck and that got jan in. Good players getting 2 wins with dark and going undefeated with light also got some people in, but it's still evident that figuring out dark was the key.

Looking at that data shows very clear evidence that DS is weaker than LS...even in those who "succeeded" with DS.

Whether that is good or bad and what should be done is for others.

If the goal is "sides should be balanced" this shows that they are currently not balanced.

While it's true that the top 20 shows the best players on the day, obviously those top 20 likely did best with dark relative to everyone else.

But let's not cite statistics in a vacuum (ie a 60% ds win rate........when you don't mention the LS rate is 75). Evan makes a good point, and I was planning to make it before he even posted. The (admittedly limited) data ALREADY shows an unmistakeable gap. A gap that I'm fairly sure won't be narrowed with the remaining 32 players.....and in fact likely will be widened.

I wasn't citing it for anything other than it's not representative of the whole. But thanks for stating the obvious.

here's a hint - it made worlds final four. 8)

Probably the best DS deck there overall in my highly educated opinion.
