2 time worlds 2nd place finisher
2 time national champion 2nd place finisher
1 time dpc 2nd place finisher
worlds 2000 event 2nd place finisher
bunch of regionals 2nd place finisher

again, sigh.
Sorry Justin....Mr. Second Place will always be Steven Lewis. You may have more runner up finishes......but he was the first dubbed with the title.
(Tournaments I was at personally......)
DecipherCon 99 Lost Final Duel to Gary Carmen
GenCon00 (Nationals) Lost Final Duel to Yannick

So, in my mind....that makes you Mr Runner up to Mr. Second Place. :)

Clayton
2 time regional runner up
3 time v-card tourney runner up

damn no love from clayton again:)

yeah obviously mr second place is steven lewis, obviously the two big ones to carmen and yannick but there were others too....

What country is the World Series Of Poker (WSOP) held in every year?
United States.

What State is the WSOP held in every year?
Nevada.

What city is the WSOP held in every year?
Las Vegas.

Basically, the point is that poker is infinitely larger than swccg and it is held in the same city every year.

Do you think anyone would actually get any SWCCG done? ;)

Sounds like yet another excuse for the location that was a "lock" to bring tons of people.

Yeah, a LOT of others. When I was researching everyone's SWCCG careers (for the "Top 20 Greatest and Most Influential Players in SWCCG History" series) I ended up finding quite a few more 2nd-place finishes for Steven Lewis than I would have expected, even though I already knew he had the moniker of "Mr. Second Place." So Clayton is probably right, you'll have to settle for being Runner-Up for the title of Mr. Second Place. But I think you've clearly surpassed people like Chris Shaner or Greg Shaw when it comes to this category. :)

So what you're saying is he's even second place for being in second place. That's dedication.

i dunno, i think justin has WON too many events to be mr 2nd place. that's the whole point of mr 2nd place, is that you CAN'T win the events, you just get 2nd a LOT. but justin has won origins, mpc, east nats, etc.

interesting point. if you play in a sufficient amount of events and are sufficiently good but with competition, you will come up with not only first but lots of 2nds.

even hunter, who has a million firsts (and surely more than his seconds) could come up with a long list of 2nd for himself, such as worlds 06.

TEAM OHIO FOR PRESIDENT!!! ;o)

No, honestely, Brad, I really thank you for your support on that matter.
What I don't get is where this is blocked?!?

Over half of the advocates have shown their support already (either openly like you, or in private mails), and many of the players also gave their blessings.
I really don't get an answer to who the real opposition for "Europe in 2011" is. Who do I have to f#ck to get this event on the way!!

Anyway, Vegas in 2010 and Europe in 2011 sounds great. I would love both!!
