The date is also pretty bad.

Whose bright idea was this?

Somewhere a tumbleweed is making it's way across a lonely street, a cricket is chirping in the background, and the sound of a gust of wind is heard faintly in the distance. All is quiet. No news is heard....

Last year there were 4 byes available on Thursday, and the top 50% of players in Day 1 on Friday got into day 2. (I believe. I wasn't there.) I'd suspect it'll be similar this year.

I echo this: need some idea of when/what is going on so I can figure when to fly in.

Yeah, half of those in Worlds Day 1, the Tourney winners - if they hadn't qualified, and the winner of an Endor tournament of some sort. I will be playing in day 1, so a specific breakdown would be helpful.

I've heard from a very reliable source that 50% of day 1 players will make it into day 2... however, it won't be the top half. Instead, all even place finishers will get byes into day 2. If you finish 1st, 3rd, etc, then tough luck.

Therefore, if only 1 person plays in Day 1, he will not qualify.

Seems like as good a system as any.

Brant Wood is from MI but I am not sure if he is interested in playing cards anymore. He mentioned to me last year that it was his last year. I have no contact information on him either, sorry if that doesn't help any at all.
