2008 fantasy worlds contest

Post by WiseMarsellus »

this is the fantasy worlds contest thread. for those of you who don't know how it works, i'll give you the rules and stuff

you can pick 3-5 different players, with a total points of less than or equal to 100. this is your fantasy team. you score based on how well your team does. the three highest placings on your team count for your score. lowest score wins.

so like, if you are amazing and happen to pick the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers, you will finish with a final score of 6 and pretty much autowin. so pm or email me (wisemarsellus33@hotmail.com) your picks before worlds and you're in.

here's the point values for all the players.

Justin Desai: 50

Jon Chu: 45

Brian Hunter: 40

Brian Fred: 35
Mike Gemme: 35
Steve Baroni: 35
Kevin Shannon: 35

Matt Sokol: 15

What if you pick a team of only 3 people and one of those people ends up not attending worlds? How would that be scored?

I don't know what the "official" rules are, but I would say that person would count as whatever points last place got +1.

I'll say I picked Desai, Raveling, Myself and Tom Frafjord.

Team MN unite (we'll deputize Desai as a member of team MN if neccesary) :)

I would like to select EPP Hunter with C Game for my fantasy team, but I don't see him on the list. All I see is a Brian Hunter who costs 40, which is way more than the guy I'm thinking of would be worth. Could we knock him down to 20 or 25 plz? Kthxbai

Yeah, I certainly wouldn't take Brian Hunter for 40 points if I knew he was only playing fun decks like LS senate!
