if there was an apostrophe, it'd be after the "s," cause the event is "worlds."

i'd probably put it without one, but i can see a case either way.

Joe if you are going to spend time correcting Brad Eier grammar you might as well quit your job and just focus on that full time. Also you'll need a team of experts in netspeak and sportstalk.

But don't do that because your students need you and I need Brad to keep posting the way he always does.

well it would be "worlds's decklists" unless you meant all the decklists from EVERY worlds. right?

Technically, you don't add "'s" to plural nouns that end in "s", but you do to singular nouns that end in "S"... People call the World Championship Event "Worlds" and I think it's just assumed it's singular even thought it has an "s" at the end... maybe because the event takes place over a few days and has multiple events in it.

A similar phenomenon occurs her in Minnesota with a popular grocery chain called Cub Foods. Ever since I was a little kid, I called it "Cubs" because that's how everyone I knew shortened it... they'd say "I'm going to Cubs." Now, I see people with bumpstickers that say "I love my Cub." and it's assumed they mean Cub Foods, not some stray bear they are training for the circus.

Peter nothing tilts me more than hearing people say "I'm going to Cubs" Or even more "I'm in Cubs"

I get irrationally angry and think ill of them.

I used to hear it all the time working at the bank, and I wanted to kill all of those people.

You are in CUB FOODS. You are most assuredly not bright enough to have mastered the space time continuem to allow yourself to be in 2 places at once (since you can't even balance a fricking checkbook) so you are not in multiple cub foods at the same time. Talk like you passed 3rd grade and understand plurals. You are not in CUBS. You are in CUB FOODS singular.

Jesus Peter, don't send me on tilt like that again. I'm telling you right now if I hear you say cubs at a tournament you get an instant game loss by 37.

i believe the proper english would be

im going to cub's [food store].

note the possessive apostrophe, denoting short hand for i am going to the food store which is owned by cub.

A valid point for sure. Just don't relate this to Raw Deal, or else you will be straying off topic and the thread will have to be locked.

HA!

That statement does not relate to the topic.

LOCK IT!!!!

I'm just giving you guys a hard time, lately there's been a lot of locked threads. You mods do a good job but sometimes it's more fun to read a thread when it's way off topic and people are just arguing over nothing.

Yeah I know, but I can't get enough. It's like the trashy reality TV shows that I am ashamed to watch but still can't turn away from. I watch them with my lady so that we can just blame each other "oh my girlfriend makes me watch that crap." But somehow I also manage to see it when she's not home. Wierd.

So I didn't mean to bash on you for locking threads, you do a great job and it's all volunteer work which is awesome. But sometimes I can't help myself from watching trash TV, or enjoying trash nerd talk.
