Legit 5th Round Pairings

Post by Farmer Bob »

JarJarDrinks as DS vs. Spideyguy0 as LS
Shewski as LS vs. Kryptofis as DS
Darren Pilbeam as DS vs. UCSBYoda as LS
Mr007agent as DS vs. Meto as LS
Cloudburst as LS vs. PatMagroin as DS

If you've already played the match-up please inform me. Its late (2:02AM here) and I'm tired, and I worked 13 hours, so I might have overlooked something. Thank you for your patience.

The pairings are wrong. We don't do the light -> dark swap between games 4 and 5. For odd numbered games the pairings are based on cumulative totals (top 2 play each other if they haven't already played that pairing twice, and so on down the table).

It should be:

DS JarJarDrinks 8(+67) vs Spideyguy0 6(+70) LS
LS Kryptofis 6(+44) vs Mr007Agent 4(+13) DS
DS Darren Pilbeam 4(+21) vs Shewski 4(-1) LS
DS UCSBYoda 4(-3) vs Meto 4(-6) LS
DS PatMagroin 2(-46) vs Cloudburst 2(-80) LS

I so totally should have gotten command cards just to keep easier track before the tournament.

Shouldn't Mr007Agent and Darren Pilbeam be switched?

No, it's right - I just wrote my differential wrong (looked at the wrong column on the piece of paper I worked it out on).

So basically if JarJarDrinks wins this game, he wins the tournament.

yah but if spideyguy wins, he prolly wins the tournament too. so basically, the winner of their game wins the tournament. unless kryptofis wins by like 40.

Well there are 2 games to go (including this one), so in theory anyone on 4 points at the moment could still win it.

Isn't there a final confrontation for this?

Yes. Sorry for the delay.

I think to make it easier; players will have until NEXT Tuesday (one week from tomorrow); the 25th, at midnight EST to get their games in.

I know that pushes the tournament back a week; but it will get the schedule for games to line up better, make it easier, and keep everything on a steady path from here on.

If players have any objections, we can change it though.
