As the defending Yavin IV Regional Champion, I am most disappointed with the move farther south.

My travel time has more than doubled from last year's day trip.

Last year also attracted powerful players from NJ such as TacoBill, stealtheblind, and advocate that I can't imagine will make the 7 hour+ trip to NC this year.

That said I wish this event success and I will try my best to be there to defend my title against whatever field materializes.

edit: further -> farther

Sorry about that. We have been seeing a lot of interest from players in NC and SC lately, and wanted to better cater to them this time around. I very much want you to come, but if the commute ends up being too rough, I understand. That being said, if you do make the commute, I'll have Something Special for you.

I really appreciate you locating this event down south this year, but am sorry that it makes it tougher for those up north. I know a lot of the nc/sc group is excited about it.

I unfortunately have a conflict and can’t come, which I’m bummed about both because it’s in my home state and because I’ve had it on my mind to make it to a y4 event for a good while. I have met just a couple of you briefly but would love to hang out for an event one day. I will shoot for 2020 and expect if it’s regionals that it would make sense to locate it more conveniently for those that are far from this location.

Have fun and enjoy the new cards!

Damn. I'm in the area a week after this event.

Rocky Mount seems like an obscure spot. I'm from the Raleigh area, & I don't believe there were ever tournaments in the area, but I could be wrong.

I suppose this location makes the most sense.

Good luck to all.

What area will you been in? There's a chance Coruscant Regionals will be the following weekend in NJ but they're still scheduling.

We chose this location so that folks from NC and SC could make it, who have been clamoring for closer event of this nature. It's about a 3ish hour drive for some folks in SC, and 3-4 hour drive for others in VA & MD (myself included). In the past, we've done VA or MD so that folks in the more northern states can make it down, and we may certainly do that again in the future. I am hoping to grow the overall SWCCG Community and get those folks a little more South into the fray; unfortunately I can't make everyone happy (YET! C'mon cheap affordable underground sonic trains, Elon Musk!)

Awesome!

Looks like we are getting at least 10 already confirmed, though I'm hoping for (and still expecting) more.

1 week away!! This will be an awesome opportunity to test your Set 11 decks before Nationals too!

I don't think I'll be able to make it. The logistics of travel and cards are just too much for me this time.

Doesn't help I've been fighting an infection the last few weeks. Have fun guys, and hopefully I'll see you at the next NC local.
