Post-Reset Majors Results, aggregated
So this is a project I've been working on for a while, and just recently prettied up the file and got it up to date:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing
There are a few items which need help still:
1) One player in yellow that I'm not sure of his full name (Drew P-Worlds '15),
2) The Philly Reset event - standings 6-24,
3) And a means, since bracketmaker.com seems toast, to add more precision on the 2015 MPC (i.e., the bracket showing seed numbers).
I imagine there will be a few typos or errors, so if anything looks off to you, don't hesitate to point out to me so I can update.
What does this tell us? Well, obviously, anyone who has played in a major can see their comparative performance over the past 6 years.
In terms of other tidbits, at the surface:
1) Chu, Desai and Winkelhaus are the only players with 5+ appearances with a 100% Top 8 rate (shocking, I know).
2) Fred has the most appearances with 21, followed by Shaw with 18.
3) Only 10 players have attended all 5 Worlds from 2015 to 2019.
4) The most consistent players, minimum 5 appearances, are the three names mentioned at 1), and also Wallin, Olson, Pistone, Hunter H, Faellens J and Bolletino.
5) Most nominal top 8's: Olson 11, Chu 10 (even though he hasn't played in an event in 18 months), and Fred 10.
6) 302 players have played in at least 1 major since September '14.
We can consider this a work-in-progress - if anyone has any suggestions on how to make this more useful, let me know. It seemed like something that hasn't been done before - a one-stop shop of rolling Majors results, but I could be wrong.
EDIT: 8/8 for a few items of feedback
EDIT: 8/11 for more feedback items (Thanks Bastian & Joe)
EDIT: 12/15/20 - updated for results through 2020. NOTE SEVERAL OF THE ABOVE BULLETS/TAKEAWAYS are out-of-date now.

IIRC Olaf was a Texas local but a regular at TMW events, so if you dig back further in those you should be able to find a full name.

I think there is a mixup with Jonas Hagen Norregard.
You got 2 entries for him, one called Jonas Hagen and one called Jonas Norregard. But its the same person, so those 2 should be merged.
Also for the EuroMPC, I found that if you download the first file in the Decklist posts, you gonna find the whole bracket with all results on page 1.
Also thanks for being that Nerd that went the extra mile.

@ Moderator - please sticky this to the Tournaments Forum. I'll update this on an ongoing basis going forward. Like the Worlds History post - because it encompasses several years, I think this'd makes sense.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Post-Reset Majors Results, aggregated
You're there - there was just a filter on for only people who did Worlds 2020. You should be able to undo that even with just viewer capabilities?
Scared me for a minute though - can't imagine I did the 2018 EGP and left off the winner

Re: Post-Reset Majors Results, aggregated
Was just looking at the spreadsheet for fun and noticed the GEMP PC history was added, maybe recently?
Cool stuff as always, interesting to see how many spots I improved since my first tournament, now gotta work on improving the finish

He added it about 15 hours ago (posted in slack, along with a bit of trivia, like the 3 players who have played in all 5, and the biggest jumps ever in terms of seeding).Solidsnack3 wrote: ↑January 14th, 2021, 8:23 amWas just looking at the spreadsheet for fun and noticed the GEMP PC history was added, maybe recently?
