Re: East Nationals Online Tournament
Yes, but we are going to have to cut it from 6 games to 4 games. I really don't understand how these tournaments aren't taking off...

Re: East Nationals Online Tournament
after seeing the prize for this.... I kinda don't want ot have to pay for it, if I'm driving to this anyway... I mean i dont' mind playing, but I'ld rather not pay the fee and then just get what...... I mean I guess that is the big assumption I would win, but there is nothing really for me to compete for... so 10+ bucks is kinda steap.

Re: East Nationals Online Tournament
Any cheaper and the money is insignificant. 10 people play and the buy in is $5 how does a kitty of $50 help you getting an airline ticket to the destination? I think $10 is the perfect price. Some of ya'll are spending that on 10 worthless JP packs at the dollar store!

Re: East Nationals Online Tournament
Couple of questions, Mike. Is today still the last day to register? Should I send you my entry fee? Is this thing even going to happen, cause if its just going to be me and krypto I'd rather not even bother at all to be honest.

I'm just saying the prize makes no sense for me, since this is going to be happening at my local location... I don't need a ticket to it, cause I'll drive to it...

Re: East Nationals Online Tournament
Well if this is going to be a swiss event. At least 4 have to register. I will keep this open another week and see what it looks like. It will definitely be cut down to 4 games from 6. So yes send your fee so some more people will be encouraged to register.Ghosttrain wrote:Couple of questions, Mike. Is today still the last day to register? Should I send you my entry fee? Re: East Nationals Online Tournament
if the winner is not going to attend, does the prize money pass to second, or what? right now krypto is the only registrant and i dont think he's flying out for east nats.

Re: East Nationals Online Tournament
There is only one criteria: you must attend to get the money. If you win and do not attend I will refund your entry fee and the rest will be donated to the PC or how Scott seems to deal wit it. I really want to pass it down to second but that will only encourage collusion.arebelspy wrote:if the winner is not going to attend, does the prize money pass to second, or what? right now krypto is the only registrant and i dont think he's flying out for east nats.

Re: East Nationals Online Tournament
If the winner is attending, they can stay at my place as well. To cut down even more on the cost for them.
Re: East Nationals Online Tournament
What happens if the winner wants to attend, but then suddenly has to cancel coming? Will he already have received the funds, and then have to send the money back?...
Re: East Nationals Online Tournament
not an issue; mikerichards issues a check after the real event to the winner of the online event if they attended the real one.fishfleas wrote:What happens if the winner wants to attend, but then suddenly has to cancel coming?
