in 05 scum was clearly the best deck. and, reid actually beat the "anti scum trm" ON day 3.

he lost to drews hd when reids e mains jedi deck didnt draw one of its 12 jedi early enough. it happens, and it sucks, but day 3 and card games in general are always a combination of skill and luck.

drew had good decks, but he also played pretty well, and got the breaks.

also the scums there was some diversification, between using like set for stuns, or creatures, and like meeker added search and destroy cause on day 2 alden beat stratton with the quads deck

-------------------

now i am compelled to ask: should swccg be like magic and use the same decks on day 2 and 3?

there are good arguments for yes and no answers to the question, what do people think?

I am done scanning the decklists, and am compiling the data right now. I will be sending the pdf files this evening.

I am missing Kyle's LS deck from day 2 as well as about 1/2 of the command cards.

You should be missing all of the command cards for the main event, as I have them all. Possibly Scott sent you the ones for side events?

Well, seeing how he's posted it publically on the boards already, it doesn't seem like a huge issue?

Joe Olson's list was identical so I think we just submitted one and both of our names are on it or something.

Why are Kyle and Joe's decks missing from both days?

Because they emailed them to me, and I haven't been able to get ahold of Adam to get his email to send them to him.

Whenever this happens, it'd be nice to put them in the same pdf as the rest of them, just for posterity's sake.

I have sent them to Adam; he will post an updated PDF when he has a chance.
(If anyone is worried about shenanigans, I will send them the original emails with timestamps.)

I don't get it is all. They emailed them to you? What does that even mean?

Everyone is supposed to turn in deck lists prior to day 2, correct? Why was it not the case for everyone?

Again I am only curious. I am not whining, nor am I trying to upset anyone. I am only curious.

They did turn them in before Day 2 to me, via email. I even checked one of their decks DURING day 2, and both of Kyle's before Day 3. I can send you the emails if you want to check that the timestamp was before Day 2. If you'd had yours in a digital format, I certainly would have accepted it that way too. It just seemed silly to make them waste paper on printing them out.

No I don't want a time stamp, only an explanation as to why people were allowed to email in deck lists.

Thank you.

Not sure what sort of explanation you'd like. Is it said somewhere that they cannot be submitted via email? Frankly I think we should encourage people to turn in decklists digitally- it makes it much easier to read, is more environmentally friendly and makes for quicker event starts (people won't be furiously writing 5 minutes before registration closes).

What's wrong with e-mailing them in? Is it because they go against the tradition of being illegible? Are you upset that our hands aren't cramped like everyone elses? We've done it for several events; I don't understand the issue.
