Some companies set distribution lists to require approval. Others only let certain people reply to them.

If there isn't a distribution list and someone typed it all up, then you can restrict who can send to how many recipients.

Outside of those though, there isn't much you can do besides educate people and hold them accountable. Something that has been lacking in the private sector for a long time.
"Outside of these solutions that completely fix the problem..."
Well, even those don't completely fix it. Some positions need the ability to send to a bunch of people or some need to send to distribution lists. So those could still do the reply all. It would just stop a majority of the reply all chain.

Wayback Machine pet peeve:

People's Myspace profiles that clearly just listed every band they've ever heard of, rather than bands they truly loved.

I use the phone to shop at Sam's club. Haven't been to a check out there in two years.

Rational...but

Difficult means of unsubscribing to marketing emails.

Which reminds me....is it common to straight up ignore these requests by assuming that the inflicted won't pursue the issue? Swarovski really seems convinced that i'm in the market for crystal jewelry.

Conference call chit chat. Someone makes a small comment/joke, people don't hear it, ask for clarification, talking over one another and drawing out the length of time that we're all sitting on the phone.

Lazy made-up compound words (not actually words) like "decklist" or "cardlist."

Our hobbies aren't popular enough to grant us jargon status, stop being lazy, put the GD space between the *' words!

This is related to Dave Matthews Band fans who just call him Dave, as though everyone has embraced him as a musical force (I believe this is one of the OG pet peeves of mine).

People who post photos on the internet (particularly eBay, Craigslist, reddit, etc) where you can see their bare feet in the bottom of the pic below the item/object they are trying to take a picture of.

Very high praise. What's his specialty field? Give me Neil Tyson any day, who actually has credentials.

Passive aggressively crossing the street at an angle, thus prolonging your time in the danger zone. Only applies when there's traffic (obviously)
