I’ve always wanted to get into the old West End Games Star Wars Roleplaying Game. That said, Roleplaying Games turn me into a jerk.

a friend and I actually wrote up a re-skinned D&D 5e for star wars. hasn't really been playtested or anything (we redid all the races and shuffled around class features) but it was fun to work on.

I was working on something similar for my old LGS before I moved and the pandemic hit.

I was trying to take some of the cool aspects of FFG's but make it a D20 system rather than their unique system.

we used the old WOTC system as a starting point, because we had several books (although never played it, it's a 3.5 style game). so our character classes are Commander, Fringer, Scout, Soldier, Scoundrel, and Tech Specialist. D&D spells are divided up into Maneuvers (for vehicle piloting) and Computer Programs (for specialist weapons and slicing, tracking, etc). Maneuvers work like Warlock spellcasting and are part of the main class for Fringer and Scout (and a subclass on Scoundrel and Soldier), while computer programs are main class elements of Commander and Tech Spec. then Force classes are like prestige classes you multiclass into later.

Fringer. Han is Scoundrel, Leia is Commander, R2-D2 is Tech Specialist, Chewie is Scout.
