Details:

Format OCS style 6 games per Event (2 weeks each). Open constructed decks only.

Cost: free

Event 1 Sept 16-30
Event 2 October 1-15
Event 2 October 16-31
Event 4 November 1-15
Event 5 November 16-30

How to enter: If you are an Endor dude I will automatically join you in the gemp league. Let me know if something needs to be corrected or added.

Prizes: Foils for completing all 6 games and finishing in top 8 each week. Special foil for winner for each event. 5 perfect attendance foils avalable, pker chips and a T-shirt.

Each event will be ranked by the standard Gemp league system. 3 points for a win 1 point for a loss. Ties broken by opponents win %.

Point System for determining overall winner.
Each event:
1st = 4 points
2nd = 2 points
3+ = 1 point.

After the 5 Events highest total points is the Endor 2020 League Champion (special foil, T-shirt)

(Ties broken by Most Events won, then Lowest sum of event finish position, then by Match Play-off (LS/DS) )

I'm in, not sure if I can be there all of those.

Is the idea just OCS style for all of those periods, or will we do alternate formats (eg. Prem-Ref2, OTSD sealed, does Gemp support a Cube format?). Other ideas could be mini-MPC (if we get exactly 8 or 16 players), or an alternate point system (2 points for blowing up a D*/location, 1 point for Artoo getting A Gift, 2 points for releasing a prisoner, 3 points if playing a different deck each time in a 2 week period, etc)

Plenty of interest. I will get a league kit so we have prizes.

While I like the alternate formats, i don't want to leave people out.

So I think the OCS style but maybe just 6 games since each one will be only 2 weeks.

No top 4 or anything like that. Just the 5 league events, with a winner for each period.

I will update the 1st post in a couple days unless there are objections.

OCS style means we just log on and throw an endor league table up, right? We don't schedule games with designated opponents?

I think that with a smaller number of players than the OCS, scheduling games should be allowed in our league events.

Obviously, it would be a rule (but admittedly somewhat on the honor system) to ensure everyone makes good-faith effort to play and win their games, even if they were scheduled with teammates or playtest partners.

It may be tough for anyone to get any games in otherwise.

Also, people could probably post general schedules for planning to be on gemp here or in slack chat to help get an idea of when games may be available.
