Would strongly prefer to play anything other than Open if its a pre-set 13 dead meta

On throwback formats, I prefer true Premiere to DS2, and not the version on Gemp which includes the JPSD cards. Ounee Ta and No Escape really limit a lot of deck choices.

Thanks to everyone who chimed in on the format for November.

I'm going to rule we stick with Open: whatever is in Gemp is legal (so option 5). I have a feeling at most 1 game of the 4 will be played before the V13 cards drop on Gemp. And if we have 1 game in the V12E meta and 3 in the V13 meta...hopefully not a big deal to most/all of the league participants.

The comments on a constructed throwback event are not being ignored, though. I think it'd be fun to do a 6-game event for the 2021 League with something like Premiere-DSII or Premiere-R2 with compelling prizes and sufficient heads up - so people can build decks, test them a bit on Gemp, and then hopefully play them in a live event.

Thinking ahead a couple weeks to Event #4...

With Worlds & the Holidays in December, I think it may be best to do Event #4 as a 6-game OCS-style event.
Event would span Tues Dec 1 through Sunday Jan 3.
All 15 players could play "on their own time" more so this way.
It'll be a little clunkier than OCS - lobby-scouting wise - but since the stakes are lower, the "anti-scheduling games" rules will be...relaxed, we'll say. It won't be uncommon or materially unfair for players to play other players 2x out of their 6 games, which seems mostly inevitable no matter how we approach this.
Also, to mitigate this aspect, I think it'd be best to target Tues & Thurs nights ~9pm during the month as suggested "game times", so there'd be more randomness to matchups.
Players would be able to change their decks for every game. SOS scoring goes with the OCS-style format.

What does everyone else think?

Got the prize kit today! Thanks @Gogolen. It had more rare cards than I was expecting, so look forward to the Event #3 prize post.
