Day 3 Updates

Post by Shadow 14 »

So, we finally started with Day 3 about 45 minutes ago.
There were several issues during deck checks. Nothing serious enough to disqualify or give out serious penalty, but there was lots of re-sleeving and foil replacing going on.

We have set up the room for the final players. Each has a reporter next to them, who will cover the games. Needless to say they will not be any interference from them. All the reports will be posted later, so that players cannot check reports between games via smartphones, etc.

The reporters are:
David (DDM) Destefanis
Stefaan (Irol) Lambrecht
Cedrik Vanderhaegen
Marvin Tegeler

Thanks a lot for doing this, guys.

DDM has the camera running for table 1 (Emil Wallin vs Marc Nickels first turn). All this will be posted early next week.

We have 3 judges (DDM, Tamas Papp, and me, if I'm not doing this).

The Consolation event has also started with 16 players. Darren Pilbeam does that for me.

Thanks a lot, Tamas and Darren for helping out!

Can you tell us what people are playing?

Also, what time is it there?

We won't post any decks yet, but I'll keep you updated as soon as I can post stuff without revealing anything that might give players an advantage.

The way the scores were written, it would seem that everybody in the first round finished all their games except for Angelo. All the other game reports were typed up as FW, while both of Angelo's games read as +. (just guessing here).

There should be no harm in letting us all know what decks they are playing. Heck, I'm sure the top 4 all know what each other is playing by now. Were not asking to see full decklists at this moment.....just want to know what they are playing.

There were no time wins in all the games of round 1. I fixed the "FW" for Angelo.
Nothing went to time.

Also, all semi-finalists played 2:0, which is leaving no room for doubt.
The toughest match up was Brian vs Nico imho, followed by Angelo vs Julian.

Any chance of doing a play by play of the finals in the chat forum?

How is it TW +0 for Herold? In match play isn't the differential for a TW the difference between the winner's remaining life force and the loser's remaining life force?
