They had the same amount of life force remaining. Brian won on lost piles which basically means nothing in match play. Basically, 2nd game becomes winner take all unless they time out with the exact same amount of force again.

If Krypto can get IHSA going early and keep the Falcon in space he might have a chance to win the 2nd game by 18, but it's gonna be really tough. I have no idea how Profit vs. Assassins goes (I have no idea what Assassins does)

Looks like they were tied and had to go to lost piles as the tiebreaker

assassins IMO should be favored. they can start dudes in the AC, set up anyone turn 1 @ the 2/1 to flip and then the AC is 2 BD + whatever game text they have and they are threatening the death mark on whomever you set up at JP to move in.

Oh yeah, Assassins, duh. I was thinking Slavers. I have no idea what Slavers do. Assassins should have a good match up vs. Profit.

Starts the 2 Fetts? Profit is unlikely to have much for space.

Gotcha. I wasn't sure since you are supposed to count lost piles either way in case the differential in the two games balance out to a tie.

I have no details about the games (I'm sure Chris will provide those), but the finals are between Emil Wallin and Angelo Consoli, and will be starting in a few minutes.

He's Dinelle.

Seriously, can one of the Euros shed some light on this guy? Nobody in the US had ever heard of him before 2 months ago. How long has he been playing? Has he been active in the tournament scene over there?

We were 4 guys starting to play again for like 2 years ago taking V -set by set after a 10 year hiatus. For about a year ago we were at the last V-set. After that we been playing at home and Emil and Pär Birgander been palying in tournaments in denmark.

How often do you guys play? Was Emil any good 10 years ago?

He's from Sweden. Pär and him played a long time ago, but restarted a year or two ago. Since then Emil has won Swedish nationals and Europeans (where pär got second). So they are quite good at star wars, backed up with their spice ties deck that they play very well.

Round 2 Game 2 Results:

Krypotofis LS FW + 14 vs Emil Wallin DS -> Emil proceeds to next round

Angelo LS FW + 3 vs Brian Herold -> Angelo proceeds to next round

I won't be reporting any updates on the finals, because our internet connection, and quite frankly, me too, will be going offline now. We will post lotsa stuff tomorrow!

G'night
