This is the tournament that hopes to exceed the 9 players that showed up in Vegas to show the WoW players that our game is cooler than theirs.

For Greg its the "I need to win so I can get money to go to SoCal " event. He will have to come up with a backup plan though

Nope he beat me in the sealed to edge me out by 1pt in the overall weekend standings. LS actually has a lot of weaknesses- just takes about 2-3 games with DS to find them and exploit them.

I expect these sealed decks to get a little tweaking.

nope, no decklists. Only 6 players- everyone stayed home to watch football and the Eagles choke, or to start tailgating for the Phillies playoff game.

A bit disappointing, but still happy to see those who game out to play, including 2 guys returning after a 6 month hiatus.

I went 3-1 playing Profit and EOps, basically because those two decks didnt require me to take any cards out of them for the World 2k event the day before and I didnt feel like moving cards around again Saturday night.

I went 3-1 as well with LS Senate and ASM. Overall we had Profit x2, LS Senate, COT x2, WYSv for light and ASM x2, EOps, HDv x2, ROps for dark.

And yeah, it's a damn shame more people didn't show up (looking at the 3 guys who committed their names to the pre-reg/interest list and didn't come to any of the 4 events!) because we had plenty of table space, got a bit of attention from the old school players and other random passerbys, there was a little cash and a sweet piece of glass up for grabs, and the whole shebang was conveniently located right across the street from the Reading Terminal Market. You couldn't ask for much more out of a weekend event.

Everyone who didn't show up really missed out!

To Matt, Justin, and Steve: thanks for coming! It was nice to see each of you again, hopefully you can make it out to the next local event.

Thanks, it was quite a battle. I was hoping we could end the EPIC Con with an EPIC final duel game of Senate vs EOps, but I'll settle for the way it turned out. What's the plan for the next local thing?

Cute, guys.

The point is...people should start getting excited about MPC2012. There may just be a few tweaks to the format this time around...

PS I need to give a special shout out to ASPIVEY of SWCCGMARKET.COM who helped hook me up with enough cards to comfortably build 60% of the decks in use during the Worlds 2k event. Thanks again, apparentely I should order cards three days before the event more often!
