Can it have observers, or only players?

Someone could stream to a service like twitch, and there would be a gentleman's agreement for other players not to cheat by looking at the channel.

Observers would know the allegiance of the streamer. Of course, when the streamer rolls imposter, that spoils the entire game and you would just observe for fun, not to solve anything.

Yeah I meant to just observe to commentate, not play.

Sounds like not (except through some sort of screen share of someone playing, but then you can't move the camera, etc. that you'd normally do as an observer).

your best bet would prob be one of the players streaming their game on twitch and you watching their stream

Googling this I found other people asking for this feature (as recently as a few days ago) so I would say it's definitely not in the game.

But you should still go and finish your tasks when you die.

obv there are times when the game is too for along for it to matter, but i see it plenty. town should definitely be trying to complete their tasks, esp when dead

If someone who's playing streams through Discord it is easily observable. Even without the visual stream, you could hop into the voice channel just to hear the discussions (which are really the fun part anyway).

Did a test, turns out it is ridiculously easy to stream in Discord and would make it so anyone who wanted to could observe. For those interested:

• Open Discord on PC (phone version won't work)
• Open Among Us through Steam
• Minimize Among Us, pull up Discord
• Go to the server you want to Stream in (so the SWCCG one)
• In the bottom left corner right above your username you'll see a Go Live button, click it
• It'll ask you which voice chat you want to stream in, pick the Among Us one
• BAM. You are now streaming in Discord.

There may be special permissions needed to stream in the server, and without Discord "Nitro" you can only stream at 720p, but for the purpose of observing it would work pretty well. Obviously other people in the game would not be allowed to watch the stream or they'd know the role of the streamer. I am 99% sure you can join the voice channel without watching the stream though so it shouldn't be an issue.

Yup that process will stream the whole thing, and since the audio has to run through discord anyway, you'll get that just by being in the same audio channel.
