Can we respond if we are not planning on attending BUT one of your dates directly conflicts with a BIG event we Minnesotans are trying to plan thereby making the choice to hold our event a bit more challenging because people don't like having conflicting events or ones that are held too close together?

(In the time it took to type that single question, I went ahead and voted for the May 5-9 weekend).

You know what I'm talking about. This is just like that time Captain Picard wanted Luke to go with Treebeard but Luke was all "I don't know what you're talking about, do you mean this dragon I caught?" and Captain Picard was all NO RETARD, I mean go with that tree and Luke just kept talking to his friends Anakin and Jar-Jar and then he left Picard on Mordor and forgot about it completely. I love that episode.

I didn't know the 5-9 was an option. I also didn't know it's a weekend (except for the 5th which is Sunday).

Due to the MTG pre-release/release events and SD/Minnesota's SWCCG events being scheduled, I don't think its really feasible to have TMW this year. Sorry.

We'll do it a different weekend and just pay for Herold to come down and ride a real bull instead of one of those mechanical ones every other state has...

We have found a venue other than Asgard that can accommodate us on May 3-5, which is why that is an option.

As much as we'd like to not schedule the same weekend as another event, we will schedule on the date from the two options above that works for the most number of people who plan to come to our event. I assume if someone wants to go to an event somewhere else on April 20, then they will vote for the May 3-5 for TMW. If there ends up being a conflict those individuals can choose which event they would like to attend (the only person I know of in this situation is John Anderson).

I hope that people who are not planning to attend our event do not vote just to skew the results, because then people who actually want to attend our event (but not a different event on the same date) might not be able to attend if a date is chosen based on false responses. In other words - Jeeps if you aren't planning on attending then you shouldn't vote. I don't want to end up having TMW on the wrong day because you and other people who aren't planning on attending voted just so it would be on a different day than your event.

But won't you be covered under a few feet of snow by then? In Texas it will be in the mid 90's by April.
