Decklists?

Post by RybackStun »

I'm assuming that all of them will be compiled over the next few days, but didn't someone say something about Holotable files for the top 8? When will we be expecting those? (If they are actually going to be made available)

Posting this from the airport restaurant, not sure if these will show up because I didn't even think you could post iPhone pics on here. This is a pic of my day 1 decklists. For day 2 I took out Oola & Path for I'll take the Leader & Path combo. For dark I added another Jabba, a Shadow Killer, another Lightsaber Def, I think another couple cards but they were basically the same lists.

In the top 16, I believe four people played QMC:

Sokol
Cole
MHT
Shannon

After I built the deck, I was surprised to see how well it played.

I am more surprised that it took so much time for people to realize how good it is :-D

Maybe you Europeans are just a head of the curve. But probably not :-D If you look at the lists we all played, it looks like a pile of random cards. People may have written it off before giving it a try.

It could also be the meta. Lots of Slaver were played at the MPC & I feel that is a bad match up for the deck.

I thought the only reason QMC wasn't played at Worlds was because of the Slavers matchup, and we expected it to be played more heavily here because we didn't think as many people would be packing Slavers. I've been saying for a while though that it's the best option that LS has overall.

I know Cole beat Steve in the top 16 playing Slavers... I give Shannada credit, as they added an Alter to the deck for the match up. Perhaps that can swing it a little?

I tested the deck some vs Chu (playing slavers) the week before the MPC. It just seemed like an auto loss by 10 ~ 15 every time.

IMO:
QMC does well against HDv, SYCFA, ASM, IG-CCT, & Tanks.
QMC does poorly against Slavers and AoBS (maybe).
I have no idea how it would do against Kessel mains. I failed to playtest that one.

Would be interesting to get Shannon's take on it.

I beat MHT with Spice Mains vs his QMC by about 15 ( i had 20 left and he had about 11 when time was called and I had board advantage as well, so I'd have won by about 15 if we finished the game out) Although I think that will come down more to the start. Since I lost the first game of our match by 20 I was very aggressive against QMC and was playing a bit loose from Turn 1.

Turn 1- emperor to the Guest Quarters, pull Force Lightning
Turn 2- Dooku + saber to the West Gallery
Turn 3- Galen + saber to the North Corridor

Matt basically dropped the other 2 sites, flipped and then abandoned Cloud City and went to my Kessel sites. Those drains I was able to cancel with Protocol/I'll take the Leader.

If I had setup on my Kessel sites like most people would standardly do and gave him a little time to get going on Bespin, it would likely play out a lot differently.

Hiding in the Garbage was also a really good call in that deck. I am pretty sure I had put about 6 or 7 characters out of play by the end of the game.

If you hold off on that I'll do the the files this weekend for top 8 and d2. I may also make minor suggestions for those lists.

QMC does decently against AOBS. I played Emil's build against Tom Hollingworth's AOBS at Alderaan Regionals last year and we both agreed that I would have beaten him had I not made one critical mistake. IMO the key difference is that Slavers has a drain two system to sit at all game, and less need to stack a bunch of characters at one site than AOBS does (protecting Xizor).

I'll do the top eight, you can do all the day 2 stuff if you want. I'm already up to Shannon so I'm almost done with day 1. Battery died. Them maybe once we get them all done we can have Holotable host them

QMC was a great call because there were a LOT of Iggy decks.
