Worlds Format (card pool)

Post by darkjediknight11 »

Just as a non-formal announcement, while the PC has not yet decided what path to take in terms of reset or whatnot, if anything changes, the change will NOT be enacted for the Worlds Main Event this year. The existing card pool (plus tentatively 9.2) will be legal for Worlds. The PC believes that any change (if made) will not be sufficiently tested and ready in time to responsibly release and allow players time to prepare for.

That being said, it's possible that a side event on Day 1 or 3 could be a "beta" test of a reset or clean-up format, if we decide to go down that path.

I think it's a really good opportunity to beta test any possible changes.

Could this be extended to include Europeans as well? Perhaps it would make sense to announce that the changes - if any - would be effective for the tournament year of 2015 and forward?

Just a suggestion :)

that's up to whoever organizes that event.

no, not if we want to hold a major event this fall in a different format.

If it's after Worlds, I think it would be considered tournament year 2015.
