yah that makes wys panic an interesting choice for shield busting, since i can prob safely assume he wasn't playing sense.

WYS Panic actually could play Sense if it wanted to since it can play higher ability characters for free with Panic, but my build didn't. The idea was just to grab Cold Feet, but nobody even played it against me all day. I'll say this, the deck sucks. It went 1-2. I built it in 15 minutes on a whim, just as something fun. Maybe somebody will spend more time on it and make it viable, but right now it's not. I got bailed out by Senate going 3-0. Here are the lists, and yes, I'm now aware that Abyss and Chasm aren't shields anymore (and replace Scrambled and Tarkins with the Senate shields)

For some reason I thought it said "opponent may not play sense or alter" like the flip side of HD. I can think of a WYS build other than maybe Panic or an LSJK build that would warrant Sense/Alter.

There are only a max of 3 that can be utilized per turn. Opponent can suspend 1. That leaves a max of 2. Which one would you cut? They're all good cards. I've never understood the argument for not running all of them.

In LS Senate, at least, I found that in any game I was using the drain +2 effect, I would almost certainly win anyways.

The argument is that you are either in a drain race or fighting (rarely both on the same turn). So why invest card slots to the +2 or drain canceler?

Not only can the +2 be turned off when board state clearly shows you want to drain, but folks can play ultimatum and wys plays multiple copies of control. And when the opponent clearly want to drain they can always turn off the canceler.

Play only the +3/-3 and some under cover spies.

I was in a situation against Menzel yesterday where I was holding Naboo and he had an EPP Qui at the Battle Plains. I had enough to either pay to drain or drop Maul and fight and try to cause overflow. Chris now has a choice where he can either cancel the drain adder and take his chances with a beatdown (Edcel limiting him to 1 destiny) or cancel one of the others and eat the drain of 4. I feel like stuff like this happens a lot.

Props to the PC on making a senate counter that is getting people to cut political effects. That is a big achievement :-D

So, I pay 9-14 force fir my senators to flip in round 3 or so and have all my political effects out by turn whatever.Till then one will be cancelled each turn and 2 are useless 3 times a game, as well as my destiny +x senators.

Evacuation Control v and Ability x 3 v HAVE to go. Then the shields are ok.

I am looking the other way bc I think we have too many shields. Do you think Civil and Ability x3 is enough to curb senate without the shields? Or maybe have a cost to suspend a political effect?

I playtested LS senate a bit and AAA v + the shield is brutal. It might even be worse than facing AAA v + Tarkin's because they're not losing the 8 force over the course of the game.
