This is brilliant. i was wondering on the live stream how he used coordinated attack v on LSJK when he isn't heroic -- but the elite squad trooper makes him heroic! First he giveth then he taketh away! Nice job emil!

just curious, why don't you play YCHF or defensive fire (V)? Does hitting really not matter that much?

he went 3-1. Sokol beat this deck by destroying the Devastator and putting Legendary Starfighter on the Falcon.

Some interesting choices. Why the LCB? Why Control over the combo? Why weren't you playing with the ghhhk combos and running deficiencies for ATRTs? Seems like a protocol failure would have been worth it as well. I would have found room in here for 2, if not 3 barriers so you don't have a turn 1 blowout :) I say the Trooper Assualts aren't that useful and would only roll with one or prolly none.

Whoa, speaking of atrts.

Did anyone play them at all at Day 2? I don't think I've heard them mentioned once yet.

I know Keith played them, and I think a few others may have as well, but they weren't very prominent at all.

i think myself and john anderson were the only ones using them

it severely undeperformed for me, i went 1-3 with them, losing to tom's rops, john anderson's HD, and vikram's SYCFA that i should have won but i'm a dummy.

I played the exact same deck last year at worlds, going 3-1 as well (losing to Shannon's surprise assault. * Shannonigans)
quickdraw3457 wrote:just curious, why don't you play YCHF or defensive fire (V)? Does hitting really not matter that much?
It matters a lot, and defensive fire was in the deck for a while, but I rarely found use for it. In general you only need to use a weapon once in a battle (more ofthen than not a hit w the Imperial Stormtrooper) and play Coordinated attack v / Wounded Warrior to * up the LS players game plan.

LCB is really important. It makes any deck that relies to Home One lose (LCB + the AO=autohit). I can also hit every popular starfighter except for the Super Falcon (and put it in used pile for example)

Non-combo Control can't be cancelled by Inconsequential Barriers. I only use it to cancel Atrocity v
Masterful Move/Ghhhk vs Deficiency/combo Ghhhk - both have their strengths. I added Masterful Move to have more 6s in the deck (I hit Jedi Master w the 6s as well as a lot of starfighters when using LCB). Protofail is just ok in this deck. I play Propaganda v instead to have another destiny 6 card and propaganda can be used against drains in space as well. This answers quickdraw's question about hitting Jedi as well. 6 destiny 6 cards instead of 2-3 makes it easier to hit Jedi.

Barrier is a card I wanted more of, but can't find room for. Even if you play 3 ADTFTRv and 3 Barrier, you need one of each to prevent turn 0 blowouts, and decided it was not worth it for the off-chance that I'd play against sonn v maybe once on day 2 (I don't think anyone played sonn v so it paid off).

Trooper Assault is ridiculously important. I'd play 3 if I found the slot for it. You want your troopers to stay alive and this cards helps a lot. You want more power to win battles/retrieve w domination. And almost every game against mains/qmc/wys I can overflow my opponent in an offensive battle thanks to Trooper Assault.

They did fine for me, but not omg dominating or anything. I think they were 3-1, losing to ASM which is a tough matchup.
