Yeah, sad to see how high this one is selling for. It’s the last AI I need from Episode 1 sets (not counting foils).
Yeah, that's one I need too. I was the one bidding $99 (and uncomfortably went a little higher than that even), but last second... Will I really have to pay the $199 others have set it to to get it?? Come on!
I'd say wait it out. I'm skeptical those AI will increase any more (in the near future). And decent chance some will come up for cheaper if you're patient.

Of course, two Maul YA AIs just sold for ~$150 each, so this could be the new normal.

Checked, and this one went for $1100. Still a pretty crazy price given where things were three months ago (probably double what you could've pieced it together for earlier this year?), but far more reasonable than the other one that sold recently.

Not sure whether this is overpriced or not, but $3k is the highest I've seen for a single SWCCG card:

Makes me wonder what the uncut sheet would be worth.

Ha! Yeah, that'd be nuts. Dang. That card is pretty interesting though. At this point I bet that sells. I mean, it's at least twice as rare as a tourney foil set, right? haha

There's no way he gets three thousand for that. No way. (Coming from a guy who thought foil General Han was worth 5 bucks...)

My name is Steven Greiner and I am just jumping back into swccg and I am trying to purchase every card ever made from Premier to Reflexions lll. I would like all the expansions, foils, UR, AI...
And you are right people are paying way too much for this stuff! It’s crazy what things are selling for on eBay!

Would you be able to help me?

Hello Stephen, welcome back into collecting!

Honestly something like this might be your best bet:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Star-Wars-CCG- ... 4759814995

It is a lot to spend all at once of course, but something like that would be much cheaper most of the time than trying to go one set at a time, or purchase random lots of cards, or go after singles. If you can't afford it right now, then saving up and waiting for something similar to come along might still be the best bet. I am not sure how many cards you already have but if it is not many, than there is huge value here for you.

It's possible that you will even have some decent cards that you could trade in chunks for the rarer cards you'd need.

I didn't read every word of the description but it sounds like that collection would get you one of everything except for Alternate Image cards, foils, and the Death Star II Ultra Rares.

I totally agree. I'm not done completing the collection of sets I want and after all the money I've spent, I easily could have bought that lot and been way ahead of where I am now.

Good luck!

This is a good route if you're in a position to drop a couple grand at once. Another posting that might be worthwhile (I haven't checked the details, so don't quote me there):

I think this collection is pretty overpriced.

No URs. Almost no Theed. Lots missing from Ref3 and Coruscant (and SE). I would not recommend a new collector drop 2k on it.

However, I will be curious to see if it sells for that amount.

I feel like not having UR is an instant no go over 1.2-3k unless it’s a heavy ds2 and episode 1 sets or something crazy...everything else is just too available (even Endor). Ya they probably add up to 1.8-2k but your paying for like $900-1000 worth of actual stuff in there

I think that if this was missing the two URs, but all the other sets were complete (sans AIs), 2k would be a good deal (maybe even a very good deal these days).

Going by recent ebay sales, if you had to put together all of these sets by buying them one set at a time, it would cost you just under 2.8k (which, btw, is wild, since 6 months ago, it would cost you just under 2.1k). And that's literally everything and not including any sort of bulk deal at all.

But yeah, if it included doubles (and more) of many DS2/Coruscant/Theed, this could easily be worth WAY more than 2k, even without the DS2 URs.

Wow, thanks for sharing this. I'll be curious what it goes for... and to think he found it at an estate sale, probably pennies on the dollar.

My favorite part is always seeing listings that say mint condition, but there is obvious wear on all edges.

That's always good, but this is next level version of that. Usually they will say the cards, something about combined shipping, and also mention the condition. But "THESE ARE IN MINT CONDITION" as the only 5 words in the description when it is so clearly untrue is North Korean propaganda-level item description.

To the seller's credit though, there are no all caps responses to the negative feedback left for him.

The US propagandizes its populace just as severely as DPRK does theirs.
